Thursday was terrible. Being without Perrie was horrible. And seeing her at work made it ten times worse. My beautiful girl, gone, because of one stupid idiotic mistake I made. Of course, I was trying to give up smoking pot, but I was addicted. I needed time.

I had a lot of paperwork to do that day, and to get to the printer, I had to walk past Perrie's office. It was heartbreaking. I loved her more than words could explain. But none of that mattered anymore because she wasn't mine. She wasn't my girl.

On the third trip to the printer that day, I peered into the window of Perrie's office to see her typing away on the computer. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"Come in" I heard her beautiful voice say. I opened the door and Perrie's eyes didn't leave the computer.

"Perrie" I mumbled.

"Zayn, if it's not work related I don't wanna know" she said, her eyes still glued to the computer screen.

"Perrie, I love you" I mumbled again.

"Zayn. I'm busy right now, we can talk about this another time" Perrie responded, this time looking up at me. Her beautiful ocean blue eyes stared into my brown orbs, making me weak.

"Perrie, please" I stuttered, getting upset.

"Zayn. Stop. You know why we broke up. You've got an ultimatum. You either give up the pot, and be with me, or give me up and continue smoking pot. There's nothing else to talk about" Perrie said, crossing her legs.

"I told you. I choose you. But I need time. I need time to give up. I can't be without you Perrie, I love you. And I know you love me too" I almost began crying.

"Yeah, I do love you. But I can't be with someone who smokes pot. My view on drugs is strong and you know that. I've mentioned it so many times since we started dating, and you never thought to give up? You knew I'd find out eventually yet you continued to smoke it. I wouldn't have minded as much if you didn't know my views on the subject but you did. That's why I ended.. us. So until you've given up, until you've stopped smoking pot, I can't be your girlfriend. The choice is yours" Perrie explained. By now, tears were rolling down my cheek.

"I need you" I cried.

"Zayn. I have work to do. And I'm sure you do too" Perrie sighed, looking back at her computer. I wiped the tears away from my face and walked towards the door.

"I just want you to know, that you mean everything to me" I said, before opening the door and leaving Perrie's office.

When I arrived at the printer, Zayn was there. He looked extremely miserable, but I don't blame him. Perrie had broken up with him, and I knew he loved her a lot. You could see how happy he was whenever they were together, and how sad he was when they weren't. I remember one day, Perrie called in sick to work, and Zayn was miserable all day, until 4:30pm when he left, because he was going to see her.

"Morning Zayn" I said, breaking the silence.

"Hm what? Oh hi" Zayn said, the sadness projecting in his voice.

"Zayn, I'm sorry about what happened with Perrie yesterday. I kinda think maybe she overreacted a little, but I understand where she's coming from, you know?" I said.

"Yeah" Zayn sighed.

"I'm really sorry, again. My doors always open if you ever wanna talk" I said, before grabbing my printing and walking back to my office. A few minutes later, Zayn knocked on the door.
