I woke up to Jake sleeping beside me. Not wanting to wake him up, I quietly slipped myself out of bed. I decided to get dressed for the day and wore blue skinny jeans with an old High School sweatshirt of mine.
I walked to the kitchen and poured myself a cup of coffee. Ahhhh. I thought to myself as I took my first sip. I suddenly heard soft footsteps coming from our room.
"Well don't you look adorable!" Jake said as he walked towards me. He was only wearing a pair of green boxers and damn did he look sexy.
"Good morning!" I brightly greeted him.
"So what's the schedule for today?" He asked, running his fingers through his hair.
"Whatever you want to do." I smiled taking another sip of my hot coffee.
"Great! I was hoping you would say that."
"Why? What do you have planned?"
"It's a surprise!" He replied laughing.
"Why is everything a surprise with you?" I said jokingly.
"I dunno I just like seeing your cute little face when you're surprised!" He then imitated me by cupping his hands over his mouth and pretended to cry.
"Shut up!" I playfully punched his arm.
"Haha! Alright I will go get dressed then we can head out."
"Ok honey." I replied. I couldn't wait! The past surprises he has given me have been amazing. It was about 12:00 PM by the time we were ready to go.
"Ok I'm ready!" Jake said. We was wearing black skinny jeans with red shirt and jean jacket over it. We hopped in his car and drove for about 10 minutes. When we pulled up to the building I read a giant sign that said 'Laser Tag Arena and Arcade.'
"Haha what are we doing here?" I asked.
"I know this is kinda nerdy... But it's really fun trust me! And I'm looking forward to kicking your butt at laser tag." He gave me a little smirk and leaned in and hugged me.
"Im pretty good at laser tag so I'd watch your back Roche."
"That's big talk for such a tiny girl!" Jake said.
"Let's just go play and see who the true champion is." We walked in and there were flashing lights everywhere from arcade games. Kids were running everywhere all hyped up on sugar. We walked up to the counter and purchased wrist bands that had unlimited games, laser tag, bumper boats, and bumper cars.
We got in line for Laser Tag and waited for about 10 minutes. We had to go over all the rules and get our vests on too. I was on the green team and Jake was on the red.
Everyone was put into a giant dark room with glow in the dark paint on the walls. There were ramps leading to a balcony so you could shoot enemies from a high place.
I was running trying to find Jake and he ended up finding me first.
"Stop right there Teller!" Jake had his laser gun pointed at me from 3 feet away. I proceeded to lift my gun up and we were in a "shoot off."
"I wouldn't be so cocky." I winked at him.
"What's that suppose to mean?" He laughed. Ignoring his comment I pressed down on the trigger and shot Jake. His vest started lighting up and he pretended to be shot for real.
"Ahhhh! I've been shot!" He paused, and fell to the ground.
"Go on without me!"
"C'mon get up!" I held my hand out and helped him to his feet.
"Alright I must admit you are the true champ." Jake said.
"I think that deserves one of these then." I leaned in and kissed him.
"Wow maybe I should let you win more often." He winked at me.
"Haha let's go do some bumper cars." I said. We walked out of the arena hand in hand.
For the rest of the day we rode bumper cars and bumper boats. We even played a couple of arcade games and he won this huge stuffed bear for me.
"Thanks for today Jake it was a lot of fun."
"If glad you had fun babe." A huge smile appeared on his face.
"Love you." I said.
"Love you more." He replied kissing my forehead.
