High school’s tough, right? You get picked on for being different, the work is harder, you and your friends get split up, the teachers are meaner yada yada. But what happens when it’s not just teasing and you’re left with no friends because the only one you had to begin with went another school and fazed himself out of your life before your own eyes? (Character name) was tormented in both primary and high school for being over weight, but that wasn’t all. She’s dyslexic; she’d wake up terrified every day that she’d have to read something in front of her class. Everyone laughed, all except one. Luke Hemmings. He lived down the street from her and was her only friend. Once she got to high school (Character name) was on her own for the first time. She managed to pull off the dumb act but little did everyone know, she was a straight A student. While (Character name) went through tutoring, Luke was hanging out with his mates and meeting girls. Their contact drastically reduced within the first year of high school. By the second it completely stopped. (Character name) gave up trying to reach her former best friend and took it upon herself to prove everyone she knew wrong.
