“For the hundredth time…have you got everything?” Samantha whisper yelled to her best friend as she zipped up her suitcase.

“Let’s see…clothes, shoes, underwear, bras, toiletries, money, precious items, hair stuff, cables, laptop…am I missing anything?” the other girl whispered.

“Guitars?”

“In their bags,” (Character name) smiled and they gave each other a nod.

Samantha climbed out the window and stood waiting as (Character name) passed her on of the two suitcases. When everything but her acoustic guitar was left she grabbed the note and slapped it onto the wall then climbed out the window and shut it as quietly as possible.

“Did you empty their wallets?” Samantha asked her friend of twelve years.

The slightly taller smirked as she held up a wad of notes worth at least three hundred and fifty dollars. The older girl smirked as well holding up a wad of her own containing more than five hundred dollars but less than six hundred. They looked over at the car containing one of their closest friends behind the wheel and ran before they ran out of time. Before they had time to strap in he drove off leaving Delilah’s childhood home containing the painful memories and the ones who cause them behind, only leaving a quick note.
