"Lacie! Make sure to be home straight away after school today, all right? Edward is bringing Bella over and I want everyone here." My mother called out to me from the kitchen giving me my lunch for school. The rest of my family being vampires made this a big deal, especially since Jasper was still getting used to drinking animal blood. This was the first time that another human was coming into our house. "How come Edward is allowed to bring over the first girl to ever have interest in him and I can't bring any of my friends over? Do you know how weird it is to tell people that they can't come over? " My mother smiled at me empathetically, "This is important for your brother that we do this, she knows about our family and a proper introduction will help her to understand us better. Now you better hurry up Edwards waiting for you." I said goodbye to my mother and got into the front seat as Edward and I headed towards Forks. As we got into town Edward spoke, "I think you two will get along. It will probably help to have a human friend in all this."

"I don't get you, you leave for a week and now your bringing her over to meet us. You know the others might not care but I'm still human and your mood swings give me whiplash."

"You're right I'm sorry but it's different for us, I haven't had human blood in so long and usually I'm not tempted but when I saw her, I nearly lost control."

"And that's why you had to leave."

"Yeah, pretty much." As he said that he parked the car and we both walked to into the school together meeting up with the rest of our siblings. All of them had a tense look on their faces; I turned around and saw Bella walk into the building. Her eyes were glued onto Edward. All my siblings told me that when you're a vampire all that stuff is different. You find your mate, and that's the one you're meant to be with forever. But sadly for us humans, it's not as easy.

During lunch I went over to the cafeteria and walked towards the usual table where all five of my siblings were. Jasper, Alice, Emmett and Rose were all talking to each other while Edward was leaning back in his chair staring at Bella. As I sat down I waved my hands in front of Edward getting his attention. "Hey lover boy, try not to scare her away."  He just rolled his eyes while the other siblings laughed.

As I was eating all I could notice were the sounds of voices all mumbling into one, turning into a loud ringing noise. The ringing continued making my head feel like it was burning. After a few minutes I felt a cold hand on my shoulder seeing Edward standing next to me. "Hey you alright? What was that I could hear that from on the other side of table? "

"I've got the worst headache right now, don't know how it happened."

"You alright? Do you want me to call Carlisle?"

"No I think I should be fine." As I stood up my vision went blurry making me feel dizzy, but lucky Edward was there to catch me before I fell. "Hey come on I'll take you home. I'll call Esme."

As I got home Edward carried me out of the car and into the living room placing me on the couch. That's when Esme came in placing something cool on my head, soothing my headache instantly. Soon my vision came back to me and I slowly sat back up walking towards the kitchen where both my parents were. "Hey how are you feeling? Better?" Esme smiled as she handed me a cup of warm tea. "It should help the headache." My father, Carlisle said to me softly. As I slowly sipped I noticed all the bags of food placed around the kitchen tops. "Don't tell me this is all for Bella Mum, she's just here for the afternoon not for a year." She gave me stern look in return and said. "Well you can help now thanks." I heard my father chuckle to himself behind my back.

After a few moments cutting up vegetables I learnt we were making Italiano for Bella. Emmett and Rosalie soon walked into the kitchen and were helping as well. Emmett commented on how slow my vegetable cutting was and pushed me out the way taking over. "Hey! What the hell Emmett?" He had a big grin on his face. "You were talking too long little sis, Bella would be long gone before you had that done." I rolled my eyes and looked at Esme and Rose who just did the same shrugging their shoulders.

As I was talking to Rose she spoke up to the whole family, "How do we even know she's Italian?" To which Emmett turned around replying, "Well her names Bella."

"I'm sure she'll love it very much." My father replied before going back to the food. As Bella was getting close to the kitchen everyone in the room except for me tensed up. It was strange really, made me remember that they weren't human. But I was used to it. Edward and Bella walked in, I didn't have any powers but I could definitely feel the tension in the room and how nervous Bella was. My mother of course came up to Bella and welcomed her. "We are making Italiano for you!" I said making Edward look at me, "She already ate." As he said that the glass bowl in Rosalie's hand shattered into pieces making Bella and I jump. "Well its just I know you guys don't eat."

"Of course, it's very considerate of you." My mother said with a smile. "Let's just pretend that this isn't dangerous for all of us!" Rosalie's voice was full of anger. "I would never tell anybody, anything." We all stood there awkwardly, I mainly stayed out of it until I heard my name. " –and this is Lacie, she's our youngest." I heard my father say putting a hand behind my shoulder, pushing me forwards. " Bella said hi to me and waved and then looked at me for a few moments and then said. "Your eyes, are blue; Edward told me your family had golden eyes." I thought Edward already told her. 'That's because I'm just a boring human. Sorry to disappoint you." Alice and Jasper soon came in through the window and things got a bit out of hand so I slipped out of the kitchen and walked into my room. Lying down on my bed I could feel my headache starting to come back, I turned all the lights off hoping it would help but sadly my head continued throbbing. My mother soon knocked on the door and walked in to tell me that Bella had gone home and a few of them were going to go hunting. "You still have a headache?"

"Yeah it just came back, should go away soon I'll be alright just going to try to go to sleep."

"Ok sweetheart, goodnight."

"Night mum." As I said that she walked out and slowly closed the door and I slowly drifted to sleep.
