A/N!!!!
Hey so sorry for not writing anything in LITERALLY forever. It's been busy. Ive moved out of home with my boyfriend so I've been having more me time. So I'm hoping that I can really move forward with this story.
ALSO because Lacie is (technically) a year younger then the Cullen siblings she doesn't go to prom so there was no point really writing another chapter for the first book so Im going to start in New Moon. I swear that this is where things are going to start happening— its going to be loosely based of the structure in the book I'll be adding some of my own stuff. I really hope that you guys enjoy it
A FEW MONTHS LATER:
The weather today was the usual forecast for Forks, wet. The sun was being hidden by the large clouds and forest that encompassed my family home and the large glass window that I was laying against. The quiet sound of the rain hitting the glass had left me in a zoned out state, staring out into the middle of nowhere. In the back of my mind I could I could hear my mother working down in the house. I didn't find any reason to go to school, the test results had come back in regards to the large growth on my brain. Malignant was the word my father told me, he didn't want to go in to detail with me, didn't want to frighten me he had told my mother.
Which leads to me sitting on the edge of my bed, leaning against the window. Wishing that I hadn't gone on my phone once he left, life-threatening. I had forgot how long it had been since I moved last. Thinking of all the possible outcomes:
I could die
But maybe Carlisle would change me?
Maybe I should ask him?
I'll bring it up tonight.
"Lacie honey? Are you alright?" I slowly turned around to see the person who I didn't hear enter my room. My mother had sat next to me on my bed. "Yeah sorry I guess I just zoned out, just thinking that's all." I smiled trying my best to convince my mother that I was ok. Though my mother being my mother she knew better. "Why don't you come downstairs with me, we can make a cake for Bellas birthday tonight?" Her smile was genuine I knew that she missed spending time with me, I had just become weak. Even though I hated to say it, I was more reliant on my family members. The medication that I was taking was not working, my father had quietly spoken to my mother about chemotherapy. "Wait its Bella's birthday? I completely forgot!" How could I forget her birthday, I didn't even get a present.
Downstairs in the kitchen we were making a chocolate cake, Mum had insisted that its Bella's favourite. I had felt bad for not spending as much time with my family like I used to, lucky for me they didn't take it personally. As we were taking the cake out of the oven I heard two cars coming towards the house, indicating to me that my siblings had arrived home. My mood being elated I walked up to the door to welcome my siblings, at first they were surprised to see me out of my room. "Hey little sis good to see you." Emmett had the biggest smile as he walked towards to me hugging me and lifting me as he spun me around. Once he put me down we all walked back inside the house, I continued to help my mother decorate the cake. "Here you want to write something on the cake." My mother had handed me the icing and walked off. As I went to write happy birthday on the cake my mind suddenly went blank, the words weren't forming in my brain my hands started to shake. What the hell was wrong with me, I could feel my eyes started to tear up. Thats when I felt a pair of cold hands on my shoulder, I looked to Edward who was looking at my sympathetically. Oh god he could probably hear me! How embarrassing. "Here, I'll do it." His hand reached out and I gave him the icing for the cake and walked outside to get some fresh air.
