 Key

I’m waiting for Eunhee with crossed arms and proud expression on my face. I know that I nailed that quiz. Leaning against the wall beside the door, I can totally hear Eunhee and Mr. Yoon talking. Well, I didn’t expect it would be perfect but something close to that.

Oh, here comes Eunhee. “So, it’s a date?” I smirked. “How did you..” she couldn’t even complete her sentence. “I’ll explain that to you later. Anyway, Let’s go.” I pulled her. “Huh? Where?” her expression was still clueless. Someone stopped me from pulling her, it was Onew. “Can I borrow Eunhee for a second?” Onew said with a straight expression on his face. I don’t want to release her hand but she removed my hand from hers.

Her expression was nowhere near happy. I don’t know what I’ve done so wrong but, maybe it’s because I’m forcing her to date me and she lost the bet.

 Eunhee

I suddenly realized why Key wanted to date me. It’s because I look like Hana. I was not in the mood to talk to him right after I had these thoughts. Good thing Onew-sunbae came.

“Don’t hang out with him.” Onew-sunbae murmured as we walk away from Key. “Why?” I questioned. “I don’t get a good feeling from him.” He simply said. “No smile, let’s eat lunch with Taemin!” he smiled at me and wrapped his arm around me. Onew-sunbae really knows how to be there when I’m depressed. For that, I’m thankful.

“By the way, make time later at dismissal. Let’s meet at the Student Council room. I would like to discuss something with you.” Onew-sunbae suddenly told me. “Sure thing.” I said, as long as it’s Student Council related, count on me!

Key

I didn’t want to go to the class, there’s nothing in there. Not even in the cafeteria, I would see Onew and Hana there. I stayed at the library. No one really goes here, and if they do, they’ll think I’m studying. Well, I’m somehow studying.

‘Not interesting..’ I thought. I leaned my head at the table and tried to sleep. Soon after, a cold soda touched my face. I reached the soda and looked who it was. “Hey, break’s almost over. Skipping class?” Jonghyun said. Didn’t expect this guy would come. “Not in the mood to attend classes.” I uttered. “Not in good terms with Eunhee?” he asked. This guy, I would kill him someday.

 “You’re a psycho.”

“More like good at reading people.” He smirked.

“Anyhow, it’ none of your business.”

“It is, I mean, I could help.”

“It’s nothing much. I’m just bothered that, she might not like the fact that she looks like my Ex that’s why I’m hanging out with her. I’m feeling guilty.” I finally stated facts. Is it a good idea? To trust this Jonghyun? “It’s actually new to us that she’s hanging out with other people. Maybe she trusts you.” He advised. “But—“ my words were stopped by the school bell indicating break’s already done.

“Oh.. Got to go!” Jonghyun patted my shoulder and rushed to the door. This guy’s exit is really unpredictable.

I stayed at the library till dismissal. I don’t really feel like going to class anytime soon, I want to clear my thoughts here.

Eunhee

What if Key was the empty space in my heart? He’s the only one I’m comfortable with! Why did I do that earlier? He must be upset. He didn’t attend 2 classes now. There’s only 2 classes left till dismissal, but I can’t wait for classes to be done. I need to look for Key.

 Ring-ding-dong.

The bell finally rang, we bowed our goodbye to our teacher and then I ran away from the class soon after. I ran at the library and found Key. He was asleep, as usual. I pulled the coupon he made and it woke him up. I tore one of the boxes and said “Let’s use this today.”

 Onew

I used School activities again to meet Eunhee. But this time, it’s time for me to confess my feelings to her. There’s actually no meeting today – I cancelled them all—I prepared a bouquet but I’m hiding it so I won’t surprise her. I’m desperate; I want my old Eunhee back.

But of course, I still won’t spill the past that we had. I don’t want her to remember her accident, it’s painful for her.

I looked at the window and surprised with what I saw. I dropped the bouquet that I was holding. It was Eunhee walking out of the School gates with Key. Oh, she’s calling someone. It was me.

“Hello?” I picked up. “I’m really sorry, Sunbae. I can’t make it today. Is it an important meeting?” she asked. “It-it’s fine. Eunhee-ah, I can cover up for you.” I stuttered at my own lies. “Thanks Sunbae.” She hung up.
