08: Revelations (1)

The day finally arrived for which many were waiting impatiently for their benefit. The 5 servants as disguise were in touch with each other as well as with the sixth person and keeping an eye on everything.

Shivaay was totally busy in the preparations so he sent Rudru and Om to feed Annika breakfast as he didn't want her to come out of the room at any cost. He can't afford to loose the deal.

Om and Rudru were feeding Annika who was lost somewhere and this was noticed by them. She was wearing headphones and her full concentration was on the bear in her hand. 

Rudra- What happened Annika? Where are you lost?

Annika- Party (she said absent mindly)

Rudra- You mean the masquerade ball today? 

He said and she looked at him confused.

Annika- Ye kia hota hai Om bhaiiya?

Rudra- Arey I told you and you're asking Om instead of me. Why?

Annika- Simple, because he is intelligent, unlike you.

Annika and Om shared hi-fi chuckling while Rudra stormed out of the room making grumpy face.

Om- It's type of a party Annika where people wear masks on their faces. 

Annika- Ohhhh

Om went out of the room locking her behind him while she quickly got up and locked the door from inside too. She sighed in relief that she got some time alone but she gritted her teeth on another problem. 

She went to the bed and picked up the bear she was playing with. She took out a knife from her shoe she was wearing and cut off the neck of bear, She took out the cellphone from it and dialed someone.

Annika- Lieutenant Colonel Annika Vikram Roy speaking sir. There is a big problem sir. There is a hurdle waiting for us in the path to catch Alexander. 

Person- What is it Annika?

Annika- Sir, we have never seen Alexander and this is our last chance to arrest him but the problem is that it's a masquerade ball. Shivaay never disclosed about this in front of me. How will we catch Alexander now sir?

Person- Don't forget that you have one more clue as well. Think on it Annika, I want him at any cost.

Annika- Yess sir.

The person cut the call and Annika called one of those 5 men with whom she was having a conversation in the basement of Oberoi Mansion

Annika- Jay sir, please think of the clue we have. 'The walking black'. Just focus on what can it be? Alexander never goes without it. What can it be?

Jay- But what happened Annika? We already have a clue. 

Annika- It won't work. It's a masquerade ball.

Jay- Shit. 

Annika- 'The Walking Black', if it's walking then it's surely a living thing and black? A lady or something?

Jay- No, no Annika, maybe some animal? Cat or Dog?

Annika- If it's it, then we are very close. 

Jay- Great. I'll tell you if I'll spot him. And I will ask Shubh to keep an eye on Shivaay. They will surely gonna go inside for the deal. I'll unlock your door exactly at nine. Be dressed. 

Annika- Okay sir.

The call was disconnected and Annika, clearing the mess she created and unlocking the door, sat thinking what could the clue means.

The clock stoke eight and the huge gates of Oberoi Mansion opened for the guests to come. There was a tight security outside and no one was allowed in without the invitation card. The Oberoi hall was beautifully decorated. There were masks hanging from the ceiling. There was a stage at one corner where light music was played by the musicians fully dressed with the theme. The servants were also dressed according to the theme serving the guests as they were arriving.

The guests started arriving and soon the hall was filled. There were only few guests invited, and most of them were the business partners. The specific person whom the Oberois were waiting didn't arrive yet. Well, about the Oberois, they were looking amazing in their designer outfits welcoming the guests.

On the other hand, Annika was totally ready when Jay opened the door of the room. As her room was in one of the corners of the Oberoi Mansion, so no one noticed as they all were busy in the ball. Annika had already set everything and made a girl sleep on her bed by painting her face so of anyone would come to check her, they will think that maybe she was playing with the paints.

She went outside in the party and started observing each and every move of Shivaay closely. Alexander had already arrived but no one knew he was here. 

Annika was standing at one of the corners when a man came and asked for a dance. Before she could reply, he dragged her on the stage and started dancing. Her focus was not on the dancing but Shivaay.

Suddenly, her eyes caught the movement on the shoulder of the man she was dancing with. There was a black spider on his shoulder. She was about to scream but the clue came in her head.

Annika- 'The Walking Black' 

She murmured audible to her only. She observed the man very closely and found his mask very strange. It was covering his whole one eye. She smirked and in a matter of few second, her gun was on his head from her dress.

The man started running from there but Annika shot in the air and grabbed his collar.

Annika- Not this time.

All those 5 men surrounded the man  pointing guns at him while everyone at the ball ran outside hearing the noise. And the Oberoi family looked shocked at the scenario. 

Annika- You are under arrest Alexander. 

Annika said removing her mask shocking everyone more.

Finally it is disclosed the reality of Annika. In the next update, it will be revealed why Annika did all of this and why did she arrest Alenxander?
