The 'Box'

Chapter 2

MAX'S POV

I was sitting in the tree, when I heard people talking. I turn slightly so that I can see them. Two Gaurds. What do you expect? I hide behind the tree but still watch them. There was a kind of fat guy, with red hair, and freckles, and the other guy was skinny (like me), and had brown hair. " Do you see the boy anywhere?" The brown-haired guy whispers to the red headed one, as they were walking around the woods. "WHAT!?" He yells making me jump a little, and the brown haired jump foot high. Then the brown haired guy yells at him and pushes him. Which makes the red haired guy yell and push him, and it leads to a argument. I roll my eyes. They are so helpless, if the mayor really wanted to get me she would of got better Gaurds, or even better yet bloody robots. I won't go down without a fight! Then a thought came into my mind that made me shiver, maybe, she's giving me a chance to live for now... I have been on the run for four years! Surely I can survive the next round.... The noise dies down, and I realize that the Gaurds had started going in the different direction. I turn ever so more slightly to see where there going to make sure there gone for sure. BAD IDEA. When I turned, I wasn't careful enough, and start to fall to my doom. I start grabbing the air hoping to grab a branch or something. I had climbed really high. I managed to grab a branch but then it slipped and I crashed into the ground. I yelp in pain, my ankle hurt and my hands were bloody. I hear someone shout out something, I get up and start running, even though my ankle felt like a thousand wasps had stung it. I couldn't run fast, but fast enough that I'm ahead. I see something up ahead, my heart was pounding against my chest and it felt like it was about to burst. I push a bush out of the way so I can see the something. The bush was a thorn bush, and had scratched most of my skin off and was bleeding uncontrollably. I limp, and see the something, it's a Bob wired electric fence! Made to keep wild creatures  and people away from another mayors property. I see a tree nearby and climb it. My plan was to climb the tree, then jump off of it over the fence and possibly land safely on another Mayors property. Sounds good to me. The only thing that sucked was the bark went Into my skin and stung so BAD! BONUS I had scratches everywhere, and my ankle hurt, like somebody was cutting it little by little. I had reached over the fence and go on a branch. I use my hands and and go on a branch, I put one hand over the other as careful as possible. I my feet were hanging right over the Bob wired electric fence, and I could feal the electric in the fence from my feet. Wait, what was that!? The Gaurds are coming! I panicked and swung back and forth as fast as I could and let go. It felt like I was flying for a second. I landed on my feet and immediately fall to the ground in pain. Holding my leg close to my chest. I winced the whole time and didn't even notice the big mansion right behind me....
