The Captain gets upset at Tim, and forces him to go back to the Pawn shop and buy the necklace back, but by then Someone already brought the necklace. Laven thought he would never see his necklace again until a strange girl is seen wearing the necklace.

When Andrew was 6 years old his mother was mysteriously kidnapped and was not seen or heard from again. Until now. Andrew is 17 when his fathers' house burns down and in the ashes and rubble he finds a message hidden in the foundation of the house. The message gives him hope of seeing his mother again and sets him off on his journey of great personal and emotional importance. With his figuratively distant father in even more heartache after the house burns down and being in emotional and financial shambles, will Andrew stay with his father, or follow the illusive message from his long gone mother?

Growing up, I always thought that there was something terribly wrong with me. Because while everyone else had no problem blindly following orders, I had always been more curious. I realized I wasn't the only one when I met my friends. We came up with a whole plan to wait until graduation and then leave. We were so close, until it all went backwards. But there are some things that a homeless battered teenage girl cannot fight on her own, especially without any money. She doesn't want to trust. She doesn't want to rely on anyone. She doesn't want to believe in miracles. But she wants to live. She wants to love. And she wants to be cared for. Her name is Malaiya Scar.
