That Girl in the Corner
-Maddy F.
See that girl in the corner,
Reading by herself?
She looks focussed on the story,
But she watches everyone else.
See that girl at the table,
Working all alone?
Her eyes are on the paper,
But her mind is on you all.
See that girl on the grass,
Eating with her shadow?
She draws patterns in the dirt,
But she sees you all, you know.
See that girl over there?
She’s waiting for a friend,
For someone to look past her flaws,
To be there in the end.
Oh, and one more thing,
That girl that you didn’t see,
She knows you really saw her,
And that poor girl was me.

AN- I really quite liked this poem, and I hope you did to! I'm not sure if I should publish it on its own as well or not though. Should I?
Remember, votes and comments make me happy!
Oh, and save the link for my new book review blog or follow it! I'm taking reading suggestions! (There will hopefully be some reviews going up soon! As in a few days at the most.) http://azbestbookreviews.wordpress.com/
Thanks!
