" act two, scene two "

THUNDERING STEPS REVERBERATED THROUGH THE HALLS OF THE RED KEEP. The king stormed his way through the throne room, the door to the Small Council thrown open with a slam.

"Who is responsible for this shit?! Who helped her?!"

Despite the King's booming voice and large presence, Lord Varys spoke up calmly. "My birds tell me, Your Grace, that Lord Mero Osin is responsible for her swift escape. Her parents aided him in helping her flee by refusing to give up her location." He looked around the table, before his wise eyes returned to the King with a small nod, "The parents have been taken care of."

"Doran Martell assured us that Lord Osin was content with his lordship and his lands in Dorne! You're telling me the Dornish lied and betrayed us?!"

Varys' features scrunched up in disgust at the feel of the King's spit spraying over him, "I have reached informants in Dorne. The Dornish had no idea that Elia's daughter survived, this was not their doing. Lord Osin was swift in his actions and did not inform the Martell's. It appears he knew of our actions before they even happened-"

"Not only do I have to worry about another bloody Targaryen, but I also have to worry myself with a traitor within my own castle?!"

Renly rolled his eyes with a heavy sigh, "Enough, Robert. We'll find whoever leaked the information, we'll get the girl and all will be well in your reign."

He wiped the spit from his lips with the back of his meaty hand, that was shaking in infamous Baratheon fury. "Find the girl, and bring her to me!" With one final huff, he declared, "Make sure no one finds out."

SHE STOOD THERE, her bare toes edging over the craggy surface of the overhang, and watched the sun sink into the ground like it was quicksand, slow yet so fast. She watched the colours melt into each other like paint- a beautiful, scenic array of amber, vermillion and violet. She watched an indigo light the sky, she smiled at the sight.

It was like the colour of her eyes.

She smiled, as a large shadow envelotped her for a fraction of a second. Looking up at the sky, she admired the stars, and the dragons flying between them.

She had no idea where she was, or why she was here. She didn't feel like she was awake, but her dream felt too real. She could feel the grass brushing her toes, the wind through her hair. Looking away from the sunset, her mind seemed to register the cool, heavy feeling on her forehead. Her fingers brushed over it, before taking it off.
