SERAYAH COULD NOT STOP STARING AT HIM. Asleep, he looked so different compared to when he was awake. By no means did the Khal look like a sleeping baby, all content and peaceful under the covers, but his face was more passive- only the slightest bit calmer. Serayah wondered if the Khal ever did show emotions on his face, but she quickly learnt that everything he was thinking or feeling, you could see it in his eyes. They truly were the windows to his soul.

She didn't know how long she had been awake for, and she struggled to recall if she had ever slept. There were too many thoughts racing her head, so many emotions in her veins.

With the passionate night, she had spent with Drogo, she had accepted that she was falling for him. It was fast and sudden and it was all so overwhelming, but she could no longer deny it. Once again, Mero was right about her.

Viserys. Gods, what would Viserys do? It was no secret that Viserys was extremely possessive of what was his, and from the second she stepped foot in Pentos, she was in Viserys' clutches. At first, she had admired him and in a desperate attempt to- once again- have a family and fill the hole her parents' death left behind, she supported him and loved him as a sister would. Viserys would tell her tales of her mother and father, and what it was like to grow up in the Red Keep. Viserys filled her head with images and visions of the world they would create, and all those that hurt their family would suffer the wrath of justice. All those who stood against them would be left behind in their old world.

That was a year ago. He was no longer kind to her or spoke pretty words to her about their future. He slowly became angry at her and his descent into madness became apparent to everyone, and Daenerys had told her exactly why- Serayah was the strongest heir to the throne, she was stronger than Viserys and that angered him to no end. So, in a desperate attempt to secure his position on the throne indefinitely, he married her. Serayah could only imagine the fury Viserys would unleash on her if he ever found out about Drogo and the fact that he could lose her and his throne- it was, no doubt, his worst nightmare.

As the candle wick slowly burnt out and the tent became enveloped in the soft glow of sunrise, Serayah realised she could no longer act upon her feelings. Last night, no matter how much she loved it, was too dangerous. Everything she had worked so hard for would crumble in her hands if her secret affair got out- all the months she had sweet-talked Viserys so herself and Daenerys wouldn't be the wrath of his anger, all the people that had died for her would've been all for nothing if she brings dishonour upon her name. She had strong feelings for him, not near close to love, but she would have to ignore it. As she looked upon his golden skin and rippling muscles, she decided that she had to let whatever she felt for him go- if not for Daenerys' inevitable humiliation, but for Serayah's own safety.
