Lila’s POV

"Lila, are you gonna go over there or just keep staring at him?" Nadia says sighing.

I give her a death stare. She raises her eyebrows and gets back to reading her book. Nadia is so pretty. She wears black glasses which bring out her beautiful blue eyes. She doesn't wear mascara because her eyelashes are naturally long and black, though her hair is chestnut brown.

"Just look at him. Skater, popular, terribly attractive and he's too old for me! Plus, he's busy skating at the moment and I wouldn't want to bother him. Also I am busy with work... this is school after all. I'd like to see you be brave enough to go talk to him." I challenge.

She looks back up at me and smirks.

"Alright girl, I will. In fact, I'll talk to Ian as well!" She squeals, resting her book on my lap.

I roll my eyes and sit back admiring how brave she is, and also trying to listen to what she's saying.

"Hey Ian, hey Sam." She starts.

"What's up?" Sam says flipping his board into his hands and wiping the sweat from his forehead.

Ian just nods.

"I was just wondering if you two wanted to come to mine later on tonight. Order pizza and go for a swim or whatever." She smiles so casually.

"I'm down." Sam says, "Ian you up for it?"

"Nah, I got stuff to do." He brushes her off.

"On a Friday night? Oh please! Lila is coming as well, you haven't met her properly yet!" She pleads.

He looks up and over to me.

"You mean you're pretty little friend over there? The new girl? The one who's two years younger than us?" He points laughing.

Nadia nods with an eager smile on her face. At this point I was sure he'd say no as he'd mentioned my age.

"I'll go." Ian said casually.

"Yay! Come over whenever!" She says with excitement in her voice.

Nadia runs back to me and hugs me tightly.

"Come on girl, let's get back to mine and get ready. I want everything to be perfect for when Ian comes over!" She swoons.

"And Sam." I mumble.

She pulls me by my arm fast to her car. I quickly get in putting on the seat belt. As we drive home we turn up the music loud to make for an interesting ride to hers.

Nadia lives with her older sister Shontelle in a huge house. Shontelle is only 20 and is never home, so Nadia has the house to herself most of the time. Their whole family is rich, that's why her and her older sister moved out, she has a brand new car, and many other things.

We arrive in the driveway and she once again rushes me into the house.

"Go upstairs into one of the spare bedrooms, find clothes, have a shower, find some movies and order pizza! Oh and don't forget to wear a bikini underneath your clothes, we're going in the pool and spa later." She lists me off with instructions.

"Nadia, where will I get clothes? Where are the movies? And where is the shower? I don't live here you know!" I shout and ask as she runs off.

"There's clothes everywhere! Two girls live here you know. Movies will be in spare rooms and there's a phone downstairs. Order every kind of pizza and I'll pay when they get to the door. Speaking of living here... that's a good idea!! I know you're only fifteen but who cares? Anyway I'm getting ready! You should too!" She calls to me as she runs into her bedroom.

I walk upstairs and go through some draws, grabbing a few clothing items and a bikini. I step into the shower and let the water run down my body, thinking about how I'm lucky to have made friends with such a great person. Thinking about how I'm lucky that I go to such a good school and live in such a lovely neighbourhood. Oh and to have observed the likes of such a wonderful boy. Sam.

* * *

Time flies as I set up the living room area for the guys and us, while drying off still in my towel. I don't hear from Nadia since she went into her room to prepare herself. I put snacks out onto the table. The doorbell rings and I go to answer it in my towel. It's the pizza man.

"Nadi! Pizza!" I call for her.

She comes running down the stairs in a lovely sunset orange play suit. She hands the guy the money and thanks him, running back up stairs.

I shut the door and place the pizza boxes onto the table in the living room. I walk to the nearest bathroom and slip into my bikini. It's a flowery green and blue and white. I have a matching patterned dress to go over top of it. The doorbell rings again so I quickly put on my dress and answer it.

Sam.

And Ian of course.

I smile at Sam and invite them in. Of course they have their skateboards with them.

"You look very pretty." Ian blushes. Woah, what was that? Hopefully just a compliment, he's supposed to be into Nadia.

Nadia elegantly walks down the stairs into the living room where we all were waiting.

Ian and Sam both stand up and hug her one at a time. They didn't do that with me. I guess it's just because they don't really know me, and I'm two years younger than them.

"Hey Ian." She smiles at him.

He smiles back. This is the first time I see Ian smile up close. He doesn't smile with his teeth, which leaves him with a goofy wide smile. It's kind of cute.
