Chapter 7

~skip to 8pm~

Everyone went to Chase's room around 8. Dylan and I walked in the room to see Hope, Chase, Payton, and Jackson sitting on the floor in a circle already. We joined them. I sat across from Hope, next to Payton. Dylan sat next to Jackson and Chase.

Chase: so truth or dare anyone?

We all agreed. Chase went first. He chose me.

Chase: Sophie, truth or dare?

Sophie: uhh I don't really like dares so truth I guess.

Chase: ooh do you have a crush?

Sophie: "um I don't really know. I guess you could call it that."

Oh shit I felt my face getting red just thinking about Payton. I tried to stop thinking about him but he was right next to me so I just looked down.

Chase: Well who is it?

Sophie: I'm not saying!

Dylan: oh cmon Soph! Just tell us!

Sophie: "no, no it's ok. You'll be fine without knowing."

I said while laughing a bit cause I was getting nervous.

Chase: "ugh fine."

He said sarcastically.

"Dylan you go then."

Dylan: umm Payton. Truth or dare?

Payton: "I mean I guess I'll continue the chain and go with truth then."

He said looking at me smiling. It was a cute smile.

Dylan: ok then. Do you have a crush Payton?

Payton looked down for a couple seconds then he looked back up with a bright reddish pink face and said,

Payton: "umm uh well yes, no, I don't know. Yes I think. Uh I don't really know."

He said in a nervous voice. He wouldn't look at me it was strange.

Sophie: "woah dude you good?"

I asked.

He looked up at me and I could tell he was nervous and hesitant. He opened his mouth to say something then closed it. Then he said,

Payton: "yeah it's just uhh...... well a little...... hot in here!"

He said. I could tell he was hiding something but I didn't want to make things more awkward so I left it alone.

Chase: wow bro. So yes I'm guessing. Who is it? Now you have to spill!

Payton: "no one. I mean....."

He looked down then at me then at Chase then back down.

Payton: bro I'm not gonna tell you that

Chase: fine whatever loser

By then it was around 10. When Chase said,

Chase: "yooo guys I got up early this morning. I'm tired imma go to bed peace good night." He said walking to his bed. Then I said,

Sophie: yeah me too.

Everyone else sorta agreed and we all went to change into our pajamas. Right as I got up to go change Hope grabbed my arm, pulled me into the bathroom with her, and said,
