Chapter 21 (the end) :(

About 45 minutes later, we were sitting next to each other in the car on our way home. We were both looking out opposite windows. It was kinda awkward. I then started thinking about getting back to school and homework and dealing with a lot of stress. I felt my hands start to shake. I looked down and I saw Payton's hand on my hand. I looked up and he said

Payton: hey your gonna be ok. Your going to be fine at school and oh have nothing to worry about!

I smiled at him and he smiled back.

We then got home and I laid on my bed and looked at my ceiling. He then came and plopped down next to me. He turned his head and looked at me with a smile. It was so cute. Wait was I supposed to think that? Wait a minute... suddenly all the memories were coming back to me... going to playlist, hanging with him, having one of the best times in my life..... Jake. Oh gosh I remembered him hitting me against the wall and hurting me. Oh gosh. Payton turned to look at me and saw that I had a worried face.

Payton: hey what's wrong?

Sophie: Jake.

~Payton's POV~

As soon as she said his name I got angry. I can't stand to hear that name. But I have to comfort her I can't do anything to worsen the situation right now.

~Sophie's POV~

I sat up and turned to look at Payton after I said his name and he immediately jumped on me and hugged me as tight as he could. It was the best hug I'd ever had. We let go of each other and we looked into each other's eyes. I saw a sparkle in his eyes and I saw he was happy.

Payton: I'm sorry

Sophie: for what?

Payton: I don't know. I have a question...

Sophie: ok go ahead

Payton: well do you remember us... um.. dating?

I scratched my head and looked down.

Payton: Sorry I even asked. I don't want our relationship to be ruined and I just thought maybe cause you.....

I then smashed my lips into his and he kissed back. I felt literal magic in between our lips. We released for air. I looked into his eyes and said,

Sophie: you really think I forgot about that! Aww Payt I love you so much

Payton: you just.. wait.. what?! Everyday in the hospital I sat by your side and tried to get you to remember and it payed off! I love you too!

Payton and I then sat on the bed talking a lot about what's been happening in our life's. I looked at this boy and my heart started talking to my brain and made me realize how much I really do love this boy.
