Chapter 20

~Sophie's POV~

Today is the day I get to go home. Finally. I opened my eyes around 9:30 and looked around. I saw Payton sleeping on the couch next to me. He looked really sleepy and his hair was all messy. Aww. He then woke up and looked at me and smiled. Something about that smile made me feel warm inside.

Payton: so are you excited to go home today?

Sophie: yeah I'm kinda nervous. I mean memories keep flooding back in my brain so I do think I remember what it looks like

Payton: really? What about me? What's my name?

Sophie: really? Payton silly I know that😂 HOLY CRAP I KNOW THAT!

We both got really excited and we both jumped up. Then my mom and the nurse came in.

Sophie's mom: woah what happened in here!? Looks like you two threw a party while I was gone!

Payton: haha sorry just a little excited she remembered me and her house and mostly everything

The nurse then came and ran a few tests in me and said

Nurse: well we'll looks like someone got their memory back

Sophie: oh yes!

Then I turned towards Payton.

Sophie: so bestie? What are we going do today?

He looked at me and slightly smiled then his eyes dropped to the floor.

Sophie: hey payt what's wrong?

He looked up at me with a sad expression I could tell he was trying to hold something in.

Payton: nothing I'm good. I promise I'm fine!

Payton 🧠: I knew she's not back to her full self. She forgot we were dating...

Payton: hey it's ok let's just go home
