"You can't blame gravity for falling in love"

Slowly the bar started to be less crowded, more and more people left, which was an indicator of how much time has flew by. Catherine couldn't care less, she knew the end of the night was near, but she just wanted to savour every second of it. She couldn't remember ever having this much fun before, her life seemed dull in contrast of this thrilling date. Cate and Isaiah were inseparable the whole night, dancing without ever letting go of the other.
After a rather swift song ended, the band started to play a slow melody, drawing together the couples all around the bar. Isaiah looked at Catherine expectantly, waiting for her reaction. Cate hesitated a bit, but stepped closer none the less. Isaiah engulfed her in his arms and Catherine laid her head on his chest, closing her eyes and enjoying his scent. In that moment she felt safe and content, she never wanted to let go.
Isaiah pulled the girl as close as he could, while gently swaying to the music filling their senses. He never wanted this night to end, but they both know it was not just that simple, and regardless what they wanted they had to part soon.
"Isaiah" breathed softly Catherine, leaning back slightly, so she could see his face. After seeing the loving gaze in his eyes, she already dreaded what she had to say, it was too late and she had to get home soon. "I should go home" her voice still barely above a whisper. Disappointment flashed in Isaiah's eyes, he knew it was coming.
"I know" he answered, eyes locked with the girl. For a long moment they just stared into each others eyes, neither of them wanting to break the connection. Catherine felt a tug inside of her, her inner voice said to her to lean closer. Isaiah saw her intention of getting closer and his eyes flickered to her lips. It was like garvity pulling them together In the next moment their lips met and time seemed to stop. The kiss didn't last more than a few moments, but it was so genuine, Catherine was barely able to collect herself. Isaiah was the first to pull back, his well-known smirk back on his face.
Catherine felt really awkward, when she didn't know what to do with herself after that kiss. She had got little pecks on the lips from curious boys, but this was her first proper kiss, and it just felt so right. For a moment she wondered if it feels right, can it be love? She definitely fancied this boy and now she felt like she fell head over heels for Isaiah.
Catherine snapped out of her suprised state and stepped back, finally acknowledging their surroundings. It seemed like nobody cared about their little encounter, but a little embarassment still washed over her. Isaiah noticed her discomfort and took her hand, leading her out of the bar.
"Come on Cathy, I will take you home." he said softly. Catherine was really glad he was such a gentleman with her and she couldn't hide her smile anymore.
As they walked on the streets hand-in-hand, nothing disturbing their little cocoon of happiness, Isaiah glanced at the girl on his arm. He felt content, he was smitten by Catherine and he just wanted to do this right.
"Cathy" he started, stopping in his tracks, turning to face the girl. He, a Peaky Blinder, suddenly felt nervous as he looked into her loving eyes. "Would you... Would you mind me seeing you more often?" He finally stuttered the question he wanted to the whole night.
"Now, now, Isaiah Jesus are you asking me to be your girlfriend?" Catherine asked him cheekily, her heart fluttering in her chest.
"What if I am?" came the hopeful question.
"Then yes, I will be your girlfriend Isaiah Jesus."
Isaiah couldn't contain his happiness so he picked up the girl, spinned her around and gave her a deep kiss. Catherine knew her parents won't be too thrilled when they hear about this, but she didn't care anymore, she felt like her knight in shining armour finally arrived.
