I lost you and I blamed the universe
for making me fetch water on my
palm knowing it would slip out.
I never wanted to admit that maybe
I knew the risks of holding on to
temporary things.
I still won't admit that I look at the
stars secretly hoping to see a glimpse
of your life now.
Give me a preview to help me move on.
But the universe doesn't do personal
favours, it just does what it wants.
