Sneaking Glances [Maxpres]

Chapeter 4-Preston

((AN- I have another chapter finished that'll be posting right after this one lmaooo))

I was sitting on the swings, with my buddies, Nerris and Harrison. "And that is why ''The Lorax' is a musical!"

Nerris rolled her eyes and me, "Whatever! Anyway, so I'm running this campaign, and I still need people! I'm thinking that maybe Nikki would join but maybe not..."

"Who even knows, I'm not joining before you ask, by the way," Harrison laughed when our friend shut her mouth, " You're a nerd Nerris"

"Nerris the cute to you! And I know!" I smiled at my two friends and shook my head.

"alright," I stood up, "I gotta go, I'm meeting my co-lead at uh..." I looked at my phone, "Right now it seems!"

I heard them say goodbye as I raced off, towards my house. When I got there saw my grandmother, through the window, fixing up Max what seemed to be a sandwich.

When he saw me come in he waved, "My sis is at a friend's house but only til 7," he crossed his arms, "Your grandma is nice,"

Yes! More time than I hoped! "Ah, Preston dearie, just in time. I made you and your friend here snacks!" She laid a plate on the table.

"THANK YOU GRAM-GRAM!" Max flinched when I yelled but it was the only way for her to hear me.

Max reached his hand out for some chips and a sandwich, I did the same. "so, what should do first?"

"I dunno... maybe we should start with the beginning..."

"No let's start when you come in at first because I'll rehearse the the first song with the rest of the crew, and you don't come in til later," I rolled my eyes, "We probably need to have you listen to the musical and watch the movies first huh?" Max shrugged and I groaned

As Veronica asked Martha to have a movie night, I screamed! "YES YES YES!!" I put my hand over my heart and fell over, Max leaning above me looking confused.

"It's... just a movie ya know," His eyebrows moved together and I pulled him down.

"It is a movie! And that's part of what makes it great!" He was laying next to me and I smiled, "Ok, let's listen to the musical now!" my smile widened, and Max's frown deepened.

After listening to the last song I was in tears, Max was confused. I cannot believe he has the audacity to not feel over this masterpiece!

"It was... just the same thing but a little different, still fucking confusing though," He threw his hands up at the word and sighed, I giggled.

"It is isn't it?" I sighed lovingly, it was an amazing show, and musical!

"I don't understand," Max rolled his eyes, "So I'm gonna be the edgy one right?"

"Yes! J.D! And I'm gonna be Veronica!" I clapped my hands together, and suggested that we acted out one of the scenes.

"Yeah sure,"

When Max left I stayed in my room, on that edge of sleeping but not quite there. Until my Grandmother walked in and said it was time for dinner, though she may be deaf she cooks quite well!

I smiled, thinking of her and my parents. A plate was put in front of me, "THANK YOU!" she smiled and nodded.

"Tell me about you school dear," Oh boy

"WELL I GOT A LEAD IN THE PLAY! AND I MADE A FRIEND! HIS NAME IS MAX, YOU SAW HIM TODAY!"

"That's great sweetie," She started to eat, I followed along with her.

"AND IN HISTORY CLASS WE'RE STARTING TO GO MORE IN DEPTH ON THE REVOLOTANRY WAR, LIKE HAMILTION"

"Oh sweetie, is that the play I took you to a few years back,"

"YES! I'M GOING TO SLEEP" I should really learn sign language with her.
