The Overseer

Lucy POV

-vault 111, 2pm-

Vault 111 is where the leaders go to train and negotiate things.
"Uggghhhh why do we have to escort gramps to this dumb meeting" Natsu complained.
"because, will never know if raiders or super mutants will attack... this old vault is out of the walls of sanctuary hills" I explained to him.
"Well I know that..." he said rolling his eyes.
"Hey Lucy, I heard this thing is gonna go on for a couple more hours, you and natsu can take a break" erza said as she walked hand in hand with her lover jellal.
"You and jellal will cover for us right?" I asked.
"Of course Lucy" erza assured me.
"Maybe a bit later I'll take a bre-." "-Alright, see ya" natsu interrupted me as he grabbed my hand and ran out of the overseers office lobby. 
"Hey Luce want to go to the commonwealth and fight some raiders?!" Natsu said with a smile.
"Sure, I got nothing better to do" I said.

-the commonwealth, 3pm-

"Natsu... YOU DIDNT THINK TO BRING EXTRA AMMUNITION?!" i yelled at my partner.
"I don't know" he shrugged as he fought a super mutant with a combat knife. While the mutant was distracted with him I climbed on some rocks behind him with my machete in hand. I then jumped on the mutant and held the machete to his neck. I cut off his head.
"What the hell luce! That guy was mine, I could've taken him out easily" he pouted.
"With what? your tiny combat knife" I laughed.
He pouted even more. then he quickly pinned me against the wall.
"N-natsu What do you think you are doing" I said kinda blushing.
"taking you out...by just using one thing..." he said looking into my eyes seductively.
"And w-what is that?" I felt my face go so red it could most likely compete with erzas hair.
He started to come in close to my face.
"Natsu..." I said as I looked behind him.
"Natsu! NATSU STOP AND LOOK OVER THERE!" I whisper yelled to him.
he looked over at the nothingness.
"HAHA you should've seen your face" I laughed.
"Luce that's no- OH MY GOD!" natsu yelled and pointed behind me.
I quickly looked in fear. There was nothing.
"Haha karma!" He laughed in my face.
"shut up!" I lightly punched him. He lightly punched back. I then got up and picked up my machete.
"Let's see what dumb dumb had on him" I said walking to the super mutants dead body.
"O-oh okay" he said sheepishly.
We found that he had 10 mm ammo and a 10mm pistol.
"at least we got more ammo" natsu smiled. I lightly punched him.
"You're an idiot... lets go to the bar" I said slightly laughing at him.

-Prost Bar, 4pm-

We walked in the Hidden bar around 3:50pm. It was our designated drinking and hanging out spot. You'll find every member of the minutemen here.
"Hey Mira! What's up!" natsu yelled as we walked into the bar.
Mirajane Strauss ,age 26, formerly known as the She-devil, use to be a dangerous assassin and can kill someone without a second thought, is now a very sweet bartender. Married to Laxus Dreyar and has a one year old child named Nick. Preferred weapon the gauss rifle.
"Nothing much, what about you!" Mira said as she cleaned the bar. We sat in the bar stools.
"Hi Mira..." I said with a little wave.
"Nothin much we were just havin some fun an-." Natsu said.
"Fun?! We could've died because SOMEONE didn't bring extra ammunition!" I yelled
"Well either did SOMEONE else" natsu mumbled
"I would've if I knew we were coming to the commonwealth" I growled.
"You two are like a old married couple" Mira giggled. I felt a little flustered so I didn't say anything.
"anyway... can I get a nuka-cola cherry and some thing spicy?" Natsu asked.
"Sure thing, what about you Lucy?" Mira asked me.
"Oh maybe some Bloatfly Sliders" I said.
"Alright I'll be right back with your order" Mira said as she disappeared into the kitchen.
"So luce... What you wanna do after this?" natsu asked sheepishly again.
"Well we need to report back to vault 111... and then escort Makarov Dreyar back to our guild hall" I told him
"I mean after that" he said in a duh tone.
"Well I was just gonna go home and get some rest" I said.
"Cool then I'll go with you" natsu said
"To my house? N-." I was gonna not allow him but what's the point he'll just invite himself in.
"Hm? why not I always go there anyway" he said. It's like he read my mind.
"Here you go ya love birds" Mira teased as she gave us our food.
"We aren't a thing" I yelled back to Mira as she went into the kitchen.
"sure we are..." natsu mumble thinking I couldn't hear him.
"We aren't! We are just... we're just... Friends" I said feeling a bit hurt
"Why'd it take you so long to say it" natsu smirked as he took a bite of his rad roach.
"shut it ya idiot" i said as I ate my food.

-time skip, 5:30, vault 111-

"Want a sip?" Natsu asked as he offered his nuka cola cherry
"Sure..." I said as i took the soda and drank some.
"Hey you two" Levy said. "Where've ya been?"
"Eh just around" natsu said while I still drank some of his cola.
"Luce your gonna drink it all" natsu complained. I flipped him the bird as I drank the rest.
"I'll get ya another" I smiled. I thought I saw some pink on his cheeks. It's probably my imagination.

"INDIRECT KISSING!"
—-back to Lucy—-
"So Levy how are things with going with Emma's wish?" I said with a smile and wink as I saw levys face got red.
"w-well umm... Hey! How's that nuka cola taste! Oh no it's empty lemme throw it away for you!" Levy quickly said as she took the bottle from my hands and ran off.
"What was that about?" Natsu questioned.
"I'll tell ya later" I laughed.
We walked over to the conference room and heard yelling.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT ZEREF IS BACK?!"
"Yes master that's why we've been waiting to talk to you!" erza said sternly.
"Master me and erza went to the glowing sea and in a decrepit factory there was a bunch of ..synths" jellal said.
"natsu we need to go... we can't be hearing some top secret information... we'll be killed!" I said pulling natsu away, I felt terrified.
