My eyes widened. Blue hair, blue eyes? That sounded like what I looked like in that vision I had at the park. Could that have been me? Katrina did mention something about us being different. Maybe- My train of thought was broken by my phone ringing loudly. I picked it up and answered it. "Yo. Wazzup, Mum? Why? Oh...OH! Yeah, I'll be there in a second. Yeah. Bye. Love you, too." I hung up the phone and stood up. "I have to go, Jace. But here's my number. Call me later, okay?" I yelled over my shoulder as I ran after I jotted my number on a piece of paper I pulled from my purse. I pulled out my phone and called my best friend, Quinn. "Yo, wazzup?" I greeted. "Hey, Melody. What are you doing?" her voice was staticky over the speaker of my phone. "Oh you know. Just walking towards my death. Nothing new. What's up with you?" I casually replied. "Wait! What?" my best friend yelled, angrily. "I just wanted to talk to you before I go to my house. I may not be coming out ever again. I gotta go. I'm here." I said, a stubborn tear dripping down my cheek. "Stay strong, girl." I smiled softly, despite me walking to my demise. "I will. Oxyacetylene?" My voice cracked. "Oxyacetylene." Quinn replied, sounding broken. I couldn't finish talking without busting into tears, so I muttered a simple goodbye before hanging up. I opened the door only to have a piece of cloth pressed to my mouth and nose. My vision began to darken until I couldn't see anything at all and I slipped into the darkness of unconsciousness.
