Trina's POV

   I kept my mouth shut as soon as I saw Travis's mother. Hindi ko alam kung paano ako napunta sa sitwasyon na ito. My mother's been smelling the whole time turns out nakasabay ni Mom si Mrs. Ventura sa pag-alis.

"So... everyone is here. Let's start this..." My father started

Tumango naman ang ama ni Travis bilang pagsang-ayon.

The waitress put our food in our table and that we start eating our food silently until my father spoke.

"It is about the agreement we had few days ago..." My father started na syang dahilan kung bakit ako binilaukan.

Damn! Too much straight to the point!

"What about it?" Tanong ko dahil mukhang ako lang any walang alam sa agreement na iyon.

"It's about the merging with the Ventura's...honey..." Saad sa akin ng aking ina.

"And? Why are we here?" I asked

Travis then cleared his throat.

"Because it's about our marriage..." Travis said.

I looked at him in surprised.

Marriage? That's too much for me. I'm still young!

"Dad..." I looked at my father just to make sure.

He nodded.

"The marriage's due date will be a month from now on. " My mother said

I stood up, not minding my manners.

"Excuse me..." I said as I went out of the table. I went outside of the restaurant and dialled Dave's number.

"What?"

"Come here. Now." I said and ended the call.

He's Dave. Maiintindihan na niya and ibig kong sabihin.

"Calling him while having a meeting with your soon to be in-laws is kinda rude, isn't it?" I looked at Travis.

"Not if the bride doesn't know and don't have a participation about it..." Balik kong saad sa kanya

"I told you years ago that I love you and I promised to myself that other than you, no one will ever receive this kind of love from me..." Travis stated

"Do you want something again?" I asked

"What?" Travis asked

"You never approaches someone unless they have something you need..." I said

Travis sighed.

"Why are you so stubborn?" He asked me

"Oh, I don't know...why ask yourself?" Balik kong tanong sa kanya

A car parked in front of us and Dave went out from it.

"Oh! Capt!" Dave said. I looked at him in confusion but he just grinned.

"Capt.?" I asked confused

"He's a Captain..." He told me.

I looked at Travis in surprised. He sighed and nodded.

"I am a Captain..." He confirmed.

"Of what?" I asked but he refused to answer.

I rolled my eyes.

"Fine. Don't answer. It's like I don't need it anyway..." I said then went inside Dave's car.

Nagpaalam pa si Dave kay Travis bago siya tuluyang pumasok sa loob ng kotse niya.

Buong biyahe,tahimik kami. I forgot to ask my parents why they let me live with Dave. Probably because of my work. It's more convenient since Dave's condominium is somewhat near at the hospital.

Agad akong pumunta sa kwarto ko atsaka humiga. Nakakapagod masyado ang gabing ito.

MAAGA akong pumasok sa hospital dahil na din sa emergency. My patient wants to kill himself thus I should not allow it.

Agad kong tiningnan ang kalagayan niya. He's asleep because of some vaccine that helps him to calm down a bit.

Kailangan kong kausapin si Dave mamaya dahil sa mental health ng taong ito.

Aalis na sana ako nang maramdaman kong may humawak say kamay ko.

"Don't...leave me." Agad akong napakunot ng noo atsaka unti-unting
bumukas ang mga mata niya.

This is the first time I have actually see him awake. It's not like I meet him in the past though. Agad siyang bumitaw at tiningnan ako ng masama.

"Who are you?" Tanong niya sa akin.

"Dr. Trina Manoban." Sagot ko sa kanya

"Where's Dr. Garcia?" He asked

"Assigned to another patient..." Sagot ko sa kanya

"Ahhh...." He said.

I tilt my head in curiosity. Why did he---?

"She actually avoids me,huh." Saad niya sa kawalan.

And that actually confirms my theory.
He and Dr. Garcia have something but   it's not my business.

"So...what brings you here, Mr. Delaced?"I asked, curiosity kills me inside for real.

"You're my doctor. Aren't you supposed to know it?" He asked

"I am actually new here..." I said

"So,even my information is a secret huh..." He said

"What are you...?" I asked him

"A human. Thank you." He replied sarcastically

"Are you a victim of an accident or got into a gang fight or something?" I asked

He looks like a gangster. Have a relationship with Dr. Garcia. Selfish. Arrogant. But  my description is based on his physical appearance so I don't really know him at all.

"Ever heard of curiosity kills the cat?" He said

"Cats have nine lives. Thank you very much." I said as a matter of fact.

He kept quiet. Aisshh...This guy.

"Okay. Just answer this question though.." I said

"What?" He asked

"Are you and Dr. Garcia have something or---?" He glared at me as a reply so yeah, I am definitely correct.

I looked at my watch and see that visiting time is over. And I should really go back to my work.

"Bye for now. I still have to do some work..." I said

"Finally." He murmured.

"Actually.... don't celebrate too early because I might check your IV later..." Saad ko sa kanya

"What did you do then...?" He asked in disbelief.

"I believe visiting time is over so I need to go back to my job. You look like no one's wants to visit you so..." I shrugged.

"And you do know ,that hurts...right?" He asked

I nodded.

"It's better to hit the point than to tell you sweet words that is far from the reality. Anyway, bye..." I said,waving my hand as I closed the door.

Habang naglalakad ako,hindi maalis sa isipan ko ang pasyente kong iyon. The statement I told him before I left is supposed to be a joke but...I guess, I hit the jackpot.

Mr. Delaced is a broken man.
