You've been keeping your identity as an artist hidden, like a pretty little secret, it's tucked quietly in your pocket. You should be wearing it on your sleeve. Embrace it. Live it. You should find solace and empowerment in the way you communicate and express things through your art. You're supposed to be living creatively.

You've become too entangled in keeping up with academic expression; you hypocritically hide behind the standardized white discourse that you feel has been set as an expectation. That expectation has been removed, yet you still find validation in it. You are not what primary school has given you. You are not your peers or your teachers or your parents. You are not here to create things that please but what you create should be the product of what your being cannot live without expressing. Your creativity is essential. Intimacy is power, intimacy is the point.

This is bullshit.

Peachie xx
