Bigby X Reader (the wolf among us)

First meetings

You walked into your bedroom which was bigger than your old bedroom in your apartment. It has a queen sized bed with a huge window overlooking the centre of the farm. It was nice, but too big for one person. You threw your bags onto the bed as you walked over to the window looking out at quiet farm below. It wasn't as bad as Colin used to always complain about it, everyone had their own homes and were free to walk around. It wasn't a prison, why did he hate it here so much?

"Red you don't mind watching the cubs for a while, I'm just going to head out"

"Yea sure, no problem" she smiled.

You walked out deciding to explore the place see what was so 'bad' about it. There were a few animals wandering around and you suddenly bumped into someone, a massive grizzly bear.

"S-sorry I d-didn't mean to-" you said shakily as he turned around looking down at you. He towered above you but he smiled happily down to you. He wore a little hat and round glasses, "oh dear don't worry about it. Little accident is all" he chuckled looking down at you as you were shaking with fear
"Dear why are you shaking? you're not scared of me are you. You know who I am...don't you? Wait you're a mundy aren't you!?" he quickly said backing away and covering his mouth.

"What? oh..no, no no! it's alright I won't say anything! I'm with Bigby and-"

"Sheriff Bigby!? you're [Y/N] aren't you?" he said almost shocked.

"Huh? how do you know my name?"

"Colin of course! He told us all about you that you were the best thing to come into the sheriffs life. I hope you changed him. Not many of us down here like him, you know after all his history and such"

"I think I have...Wait a second, did you say Colin? Colin said that?" You said not believing what the bear had told you.

"I hope so... and yes! now come on let's introduce you to everyone!" he laughed grabbing your hand, pulling you along with him.

"Sorry, but who are you?"

He stopped in his tracks laughing again, "gosh I got all excited I forgot to tell you my name, Daddy Bear is my name dear" he said stretching out his enormous paw.

You recognised him straight away he was from Goldilocks and the three bears.

You slowly reached for his paw shaking it.

"Nice to meet you" you smiled looking up at the tall bear towering over you.

Soon after there were many animals coming toward you. You recognised some of them from story books. They all stopped beside you looking at you strangely with quiet whispers of "who's she?" and "is that the girl Colin was talking about"

"You rubbed your arm feeling uncomfortable with all these animals surrounding you.

Colin soon stepped forward standing beside you, "well look who's here" he smiled looking up at you.

"Colin, why is everyone surrounding me?" you asked looking around you.

"Well you can thank me for that, thought I'd give you a grand welcome to the Farm" he said looking out to the crowd.

"This is who I have been talking about, [Y/N] Wolf"

There was then a sudden loud mumble among the crowd quietly whispering about you being with the only Wolf there was.

"You're telling us you brought a Wolf onto the farm! You do know that Bigby isn't aloud here. How do you know she's not going to kill us like he did back in the homelands?" Someone shouted from the crowd making everyone back away and gasp.

"Guys, she's not an actual wolf, her surname is wolf so don't be scared. She's a mundy"

There was a loud gasp again from the crowd as everyone stood still staring at you.

"She's a mundy!" Someone else shouted from the crowd.

"Look folks, this young lady is a delight and if the sheriff trusts her, then why can't we?" the bear standing beside you quickly said putting his paw on your shoulder.

Everyone looked at each other shaking there heads in disapproval.

"Why? because she's not a fable like us? She has kept our secret quiet all this time, I believe she won't say a word about us. She hasn't since she found out so why would she now!" the bear said hugging you close to him.

"Ehh.." you mumbled.

"You do know that fables and mundys shouldn't mix!" a pig said walking up to Colin, "right Colin"

"Yea and who told you that rule!" Colin snapped back at his brother.

He stayed quiet looking at the ground, "lemme answer that for you. Bigby! and since he trusts her why can't we!" Colin said smiling up at you.

Everyone looked at you again as you decided to say something, "look, you can trust me. I swear I'll never say a word about you all. I promise"

There was one last wave of mumbling before everyone starting cheering welcoming you to the farm.

-Night-

"Colin I don't understand why you hate it here. It's so peaceful up here"

"It just feels like a prison to me, being stuck in the same place day in, day out"

"So being in Bigbys apartment which is more or less being stuck in the same place, is different" you smirked raising an eyebrow at the pig.

"Shut up. At least Bigby has beer...and he likes me."

"Huh?" you asked confused

"*sigh* everyone up here doesn't necessarily like me. My brother hates me, you know the one who snapped at me in the crowd today"

"Why do they hate you Colin?" you asked feeling sorry for the pig.

"It's because I'm friends with the Big Bad Wolf a.k.a Bigby"

"Yea I'm aware he's the big bad wolf Colin. But why? just because you're friends!"

"Yea...I guess you already figured that not everyone here likes Bigby saying he's a monster and so on."

"Wait a minute does that mean that some of the animals are going to hate me too, just because I'm with him?" you asked the pig who just casually shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Just be careful around here [Y/N]. It looks like a safe haven but it's filled with some nasty folks, believe me. I've been here long enough to know that. That's why I run away, to go back to my only friends" he sighed running his hoof across the ground.

"You should get back, I'll talk to you tomorrow okay" he smiled walking away.

"Colin" you shouted before he got away.

"Yea" he said turning his head around.

"Thanks for today and for the little warning"

"Don't mention it"
