Greywhisker glared at Antstar with furious eyes. He had dropped his juniper berries and his claws were now unsheathed, ready to attack the brute leader if he needed to. He was no fool, the medicine cat knew the brown tabby leader could kill him if he wanted to. He also knew for a fact, that he would not hesitate to attack even a medicine cat. But yet Greywhisker stood before the mighty Antstar, claws unsheathed to protect Cloverpaw from what could be her demise. Cloverpaw stared at the medicine cat with awe. He was brave, but she refused to think of him dying in a battle that could be prevented.
"Antstar," Greywhisker began, "you bring treachery to the Clans, and even to your own." He nodded to Freckleberry, Gorseleap, and Hawkeye. "And now, you want to hurt a just made apprentice. Might I ask why you do this?"
Antstar lowered his paw, and turned toward Greywhisker, a much more sinister look in his eyes. "Because," he meowed icily, "I am trying to help the Clans! But you fools just don't see what I am trying to do! You cats don't see your own weaknesses, nevertheless try and actually fix them. So that is why, dear Greywhisker. That is why I do this." Antstar lashed his tail, kicking up a bit of dirt on Cloverpaw's white pelt.
Greywhisker narrowed his eyes, shook his head, and stared down the ruthless leader. "No, that is not what you are doing. I know what you did." He looked at Berrystar, and then straight back at Antstar. "You stole prey from us and even took part of RiverClan territory."
Berrystar let out a yowl of frustration. "YOU were the one who tresspassed?! I thought it smelled like ShadowClan."
Antstar smirked. "Molestar is much too soft and forgiving to do that. Let alone her loyalty is too fierce to the warrior code. Be real, Berrystar. Even you know that."
Greywhisker snarled. "And Heronstar? What made you take part of RiverClan's territory? You can't even fish!"
Antstar turned back to the grey tabby medicine cat. "Haven't you heard of Frostleap? He was a RiverClan exile that took one of Heronstar's lives." He paused, looking around the shocked cats. "Oh I said too much didn't I? Oh well. Frostleap came to us stating that RiverClan was too soft. He's my strong, loyal deputy now. After we rid of Pebblewhisker. It was for the best anyways. She was so stressed!"
Cloverpaw's eyes widened. ""After we rid of Pebblewhisker"? You mean you..." She squeaked the last words, and her fur stood up in fear
Greywhisker laid his tail comfortingly on Cloverpaw. "Killing your deputy, eh? Tell me, does THAT make you a strong leader?" He paused, baring a snarl of disgust. "I can see now. You're "loyal warriors" only run by your side in fear. In fear that their leader would kill them if they did rebel." His head moved over to the three warriors surround Duskfeather's body, which it seemed Reedwillow brought in.
Freckleberry was the first to speak. "We are NOT afraid to follow our leader! Antstar is a strong, dedicated, and worthy leader of WindClan! And you, ThunderClan herb-hare, can die under those words!" As if Antstar told her to do so, Freckleberry darted out toward Greywhisker, claws unsheathed and ready to kill.
"Freckleberry. no!" A muscular brown tom barreled her to the side. He pinned her down and snarled in her face. "Antstar didn't order you to attack! A-And...." He looked at Greywhisker, eyes surprisingly sad. "And I agree with him! We don't have to run in fear if we can just stand up for ourselves. Look at you: your mate has corrupted you into thinking as barbaric as him! You could be mistaken as a rat from ShadowClan territory!" He sighed and continued once more, this time calmer. "Please Freckleberry... have mercy on these cats. They have done nothing to you..."
Freckleberry looked up at him with wide green eyes, then narrowed them and turned cold once more. "I expected better of you, Gorseleap. As my son, and as a loyal warrior of WindClan. You are nothing to me now. Not a WindClan warrior, not my son, not even a cat!" She spat the words out like venom, and with a burst of energy, kicked Gorseleap off.
Gorseleap landed on the ground with a thud, a shrill cry of pain bursting out. He got up. "M-Mother I-"
"That's enough, son." Antstar stepped forward, lashing his tail. "You disgraced WindClan, and me. I hereby exile you from our noble Clan. Have fun living as a homeless rogue." He raised his head. "WindClan! We're moving out!" With a simple glare at Gorseleap, Antstar bounded away, Freckleberry and Hawkeye following.
Cloverpaw got up. Her beautiful white pelt was dirty, and the shoulder wound was worse enough. She looked over at Gorseleap, her eyes sad and full of sympathy for the young warrior.
"I-I..." Gorseleap stuttered, then fell to the ground in sorrow. "I'm such a mouse-brain..."
