A week later
(Saturday)
5 A.M.
Today was the long awaited day.
Ms. Moon's Life Management Class would be taking a two-day field trip to downtown Gwangju.
All the students were drowsy and restless from waking up at such an early time.
"Listen up, kiddos!" Ms. Moon called out to her sleepy students.
"Today, as you know, is the long awaited trip to the town of Gwangju. The trip will take 2 and a half hours without traffic, and 3 hours with traffic."
She first said.
"Before you ask, your seats, unfortunately, will be assigned. You shall sit next to your partners for the project. And that same partner will be your partner for the whole trip. The pair of you would explore the city together in the day time once we arrive." Ms. Moon announces.
Y/N looks down in irritation.
"Why does Ms. Moon have to do this to meee?" Y/N complains.
"I'm sure she has a good reason, Y/N." Nayeon comforted.
"Yeah. She's trying to help you guys not rip each other's faces off every time you make eye contact." Jin adds.
"Oh, both of you can shut up. You guys have each other as partners, so you can't say anything." Y/N says and sighs.
"We better get roomed together, or I'll lose it." Y/N says, and the three friends loaded their bags and headed towards the bus.
Ms. Moon was standing at the entrance, telling each student their seat numbers.
Jin and Nayeon were seated next to each other, at seat 15.
Y/N approached Ms. Moon with dread.
She stayed silent.
"You're not going to ask me to move your seat?" Ms. Moon says curiously.
"What's the use? I know you won't anyway.." Y/N said sadly.
"That's correct. But hey, cheer up! I placed you by all of your friends, as well."
"You're seat number 13, right in front of Jin and Nayeon. And across from you is Taehyung and Rosé. Behind those two are Jimin and Jeonyeon. In front them are Yoongi and Eunha. In front you you is Hoseok and Irene. I've got you the whole gang!" Ms. Moon explained.
"I guess I just won't talk to Jungkook then." Y/N says and brightens up.
"Sounds good, dear. Head on in." Ms. Moon encouraged, and Y/N smiles and steps into the bus.
When Y/N stepped onto the bus, everyone else was already in their seats.
Y/N walked down the aisle until she found seat 15. Jungkook was already in the seat, facing the window while listening to music with his headphones.
Y/N sat down. Ms. Moon was right. Surrounding her were her friends.
She told herself that maybe this bus ride wouldn't be so bad.
She hoped to sit next to Taeyong, but unfortunately, he was still extremely sick with a fever.
She missed him incredibly..
She took a deep breath, and Jungkook suddenly complains,
"Can't believe I have to deal with you this whole trip. We even have to room together. How is that even even appropriately allowed?"
"What?! No, we're not. Ms. Moon didn't say anything. You're lying."
"I asked her. It's true. Apparently, it's gonna be two separate beds but STILL."
