Chapter 11: First Love

Narrator Point of View

Y/N was still traumatized from the horrible events that had just occurred.
Her and Jungkook were sitting on a nearby park bench. The police already came and took the bad men to jail, as they'd deserved.
Y/N decided that she wanted to calm down first and told Jungkook not to call the rest of the group to meet with them yet.

"You okay?" Jungkook asked quietly.

Y/N didn't answer, but she merely nodded.

"No, you're not. You're easy to read, Park. You don't have to lie to me. What just happened was pretty traumatic. Even i'm not okay from it. So I know you're not." Jungkook sympathizes.

Y/N lets out a slight smile. Jungkook somehow knew her to her core. She didn't want him to use that to her advantage.

"You can tell everyone to come here now." She says.

Jungkook nods and texts Jimin's number.

Jungkook: "found her. We're currently at the park next to the location we last left."

Jimin hyung: "great!! We'll be right there. We're about 10 minutes away."

Jungkook: "hyung.."

Jimin hyung: "Yeah?"

Jungkook: "something happened, I'll explain once you get here, but idk how to calm y/n down."

Jimin hyung: "tell her a story. Any type of story. Works every time. ;)"

Jungkook: " ok! thx hyung 😄."

Jimin hyung: "👍🏻"

Jungkook didn't know where to start.
Y/N was miserable.

He decided to take Jimin's idea.

"Hey..you wanna hear a story?" He asks.

Y/N looks up.
"Huh? What kind of story?"

Jungkook knew the method was working.

"Um.." he tried to recall of any story he remembered, and an idea came to him.

"It's a true story. A love story." Jungkook says.

"Okay..let's hear it." Y/N decided.

He cleared his throat and began his story.

"A long time ago, when I was really young, I really liked this girl. She was my best friend, we were basically best friends since birth, since our moms were best friends."

Y/N listened attentively.

"I was only five when I realized my feelings for her. I thought she was the prettiest girl in the world. As a child, I was really sensitive, I got pushed around a lot and cried easily. She was always there to comfort me when I cried, and chased away the bullies. Haha, I remember her chasing them away with a wooden stick she found. She was my hero.."

"I also remember her telling me something very important. She told me that when I cried, I should look up at the sky so my tears won't fall down. She said that looking up at the sky and towards the sun, my tears become the rain, and the rain after the sun creates a beautiful rainbow. The rainbow would represent better days ahead..I would never forget what she told me..and I lived by it." Jungkook says and looks into Y/N's eyes.

"Oh..So then what happened? Where is she now?"
Y/N asked.
She realized that there was a sense of familiarity in his story, but she didn't say anything.

"One day, I got into a terrible car accident, and I was in a coma for 9 weeks. When I finally woke up, I couldn't remember anything, I couldn't even remember how I got into the accident, but I remembered her. But she was gone. I was sent to live with my dad, all the way in Seoul. I couldn't see her anymore. Now, my dad was a businessman, so he taught me that having feelings showed weakness, and that a good future businessman would have to professional and cold. I changed a lot by living with him..I became tough, and heartless. With no emotion at all."
