Chapter 14: Park Jimin Turns 18

Narrator Point of View

"Y/N!!!!"

"Y../..N!!!!!!!!"

"PARK Y/N!"

"What? What?!" Screams Y/N as she scattered into her brother's room frantically.
She slid on the slippery floor as she tried to catch her breath.
It was only 5:30 A.M.

"IT'S MY BIRTHDAY." Jimin yells in his bed, still in his pajamas with his bed head while hugging excitedly onto his stuffed animal.

"Really? You woke me up at 5 A.M..for THAT?" Says an angry and half asleep Y/N.

"Don't raise your voice around Chimny." He says while petting his favorite dog stuffed animal.

"You're 18 and still play with stuffed animals." Y/N says and laughs.

"Only Chimmy."

"Wait a minute. I'm 18.." Jimin realized.

"Jimin-ssi, your soulmate!" Y/N exclaims, suddenly wide awake. She rushed over to Jimin's side.

"Look at your wrist!" Y/N says as she hovered over him excitedly.

Jimin took a deep breath and slowly lifted up his sleeve on his left wrist.

He went higher..and higher..and higher..slowly.
And when he reached the point where a cursive name was supposed to appear, all he saw was his pale wrist and veins..

"Nothing." He says, half disappointedly.

"Your other wrist maybe?" Y/N says, losing hope.

Jimin slid up his other wrist quickly, but there were the same results.

There was a moment of silence.
Y/N was disappointed. She wanted her brother to find his true love as soon as possible. She didn't know what obstacle was so important that her brother couldn't find his soulmate right at this moment.

"I'm not surprised. No one in our group has one yet." Jimin says.

He was less happy, but he still smiled with his eyes.

"But guess what, I'M AN ADULT! I run the house now. I'm your legal guardian." Jimin says proudly.

"You say that as if it's been any different. You're just a day older. Not even a day. An hour. You're lucky Mim had difficulties with my birth and I came out an hour later, which led into the next day." Y/N says and chuckles.

"I'm going back to bed." Y/N says and yawns.

"Oh no, you're not. You're gonna spend the whole day with ME!" Jimin exclaims.

Y/N and Jimin spending half the day together on their birthdays was a tradition. The other half of the day was saved for a party. They would do this every year.

"Who says I'm gonna do that this early? Nothing's open."

"I did. It's my birthday. Now, go get changed. You know we both take 2 hours to get ready. It should be almost 8 A.M. by the time we're done."

Y/N groaned as she realized that her brother was right. They both took extremely long to get ready.

"Fine." She says as she exited the room and went to her room to change.
