Prologue

"Hey Sophie," Fitz says running to catch up with me in the halls of Foxfire. "Hi," I said back. He takes my hand and says, "Wanna stay the night at Everglen? Keefe, Tam, Lihn, and Dex will be there too," I smile and say "Sure, what time?" "You can come at like, five," he says. "Great. I'll be there," He kisses my cheek and says, "Perfect," before walking back the opposite way. I continue walking to my next session thinking. Fitz and I have been together for about two years now. We've only argued about something once. I hate to say it but, I don't think we might last a ton longer. I know I should be grateful to have him with all the other girls falling at his feet. I don't know what's going on, but something is off with us. I'll stay with him for maybe a year or so, and if we're still together then, I'll....break up with him. Tears fill my eyes just thinking about it. The bell rings and I snap out of my daze and start to run to my next class.
