"So...I'm gonna go home. " Jamal filled the awkward silence and walked away hastily.
"Detective" I said and motioned him to Jamal's now vacant seat. Great now I've embarrassed myself twice in front of this man.
"I came to check up on you." He sat down probably thinking Cuz you're a fuckin idiot.
"Uh thank you, you didn't have to you know." I gave an awkward smile and sat down.
"I know. So Sofia is it?" He smiled.
I nodded and starting imagining cold waterfalls, its a tactic to keep me from going red, it sounds stupid but it works. "Sebastian Franco right?"
"Hey Sofia have you seen Spooky's phone? He's on his wa-" Ruby halted dramatically and stared at Sebastian, "He's on his way. Hi I'm Ruben." He smiled and went to shake Sebastian's hand not before giving me a look. A damn is that your man look.
Before he could say anything else there was a knock on the door, Ruby went to answer it and there stood the man of my dreams.
"Yo you find it?" He asked Ruby, looking aggravated. Ruby mumbled a no and quickly walked into the bathroom to see if its there.
Spooky finally looked at our direction and boy if looks could kill, we'd be dead six times.
"Fuck you doin here?" Spooky growled. The fuck? I live here.
"Paying Sofia here a visit, not that its any of your concern, Mr Diaz." Sebastian stood up and replied in a cocky manner. Ohhh sweet jesus...fuck.
I could feel both Spooky and Sebastian's eyes on me so naturally I just looked the completely opposite direction and scratched the back of my neck, like I had no business in this conversation.
"Yeah well she ain't none of your concern" Spooky seethed, "now get the fuck outta here!" I flinched at Spooky snapping. I've seen him snap before but not like this. He clearly hated Sebastian. Who only chuckled and turned to me, he took out a card from his pocket and slid it across the table to me and gave a small wink. I gave an apologetical smile and took the card.
As soon as Sebastian left, Spooky turned to me, still filled with anger. I gulped and could feel my legs go weak. Running away was no longer an option. He walked towards me and sat on the chair next to me.
"You workin with him?"
"What? no! "
"So you fuckin him." He looked at me with pure disgust.
"I'm not." My heart was pounding and I was beginning to sweat.
"Don't fuckin lie to me puta!" He shouted right in my face and banged his fist on the table.
"I'm not!" I flinched and my voice cracked, I could feel my body begin to tremble.
Ruby rushed into the room, his eyes wide as looked at Spooky and then me.
"Keep away from him" Spooky sneered then grabbed his phone from Ruby's hand and left.
"Sofia are you okay?" Ruby rushed to my side and cupped my face.
"I want to go home." I let out a sob and cried for the next 5 minutes like, well, a little bitch.
