Chapter 13 - Part 1

"BITCH. I called like 5 times!" Adore shouted over the phone, I flinched and held the phone away from my ear. It was 7 am, too early for this shit.

"I was sleeping, like unconscious, basically dead." I replied as I watched Ruby frantically sort out his outfit for school. He seemed really anxious today for some reason, even did a few push ups.

"Why are you up so early?" Adore asked 

"Because Ruby is dragging me to his school for some meeting with his teacher" I complained causing Ruby to give me a sour look and then held his head high as he strutted to the bathroom. Why am I always surrounded with drama queens?

"Well I got tea henny!" He shouted again, it is not normal for anyone to be this energetic at this early unholy hour. "So last night after you dramatically walked off, I asked Spooky if he yaknow had the hots for you." Wot.

"Nononooo you're joking right?" I instantly felt my palms sweating and my anxiety increasing. 

"Well not in those exact words obviously but yeah and he-"

"What the fuck Adore? Why would you ask that! Like why the fuck- oohh my god whyy" I whimpered as I closed my eyes. 

"Bitch do you want know what he said or not?" He replied with annoyance, he didn't like being cut off mid sentence. 

"Probably not, I swear dude I feel a panic attack coming, why would you do this?" 

"Ok so basically" He carried on completely ignoring me suffering, "He said 'we'll see' and then smirked, do you know what that means?"

"Uh no?" 

"He likes you and he wants you to know it. He knows we're close and I'd tell you. So he wants you to know that's hes interested BITCH."

"Yeah well fuck him, he's an asshole." I replied though I did feel a little...funny in the stomach but we'll just ignore that, " When he thought we were dating he literally said he doesn't take other's seconds. Who the fuck even thinks like that? Its so degrading. OH and like those putas hes fuckin around with are lil virgin Marys, about he doesn't take seconds." I scoffed. 

I waited for Adore to reply but he didn't for a good 10 seconds.

"Oh... I was thinking this would be more of a hot lil fling. Damn." Adore pretty much whispered, all the energy disappearing. 

"Whats going on?" I asked.

Then Adore broke down the FreeRidge gang 'claiming' tradition. If someone claimed you, it meant it was serious, you were theirs and no one was allowed to ever try it with you or there'd be consequences. However, the more dominant and respected gang members were very picky when it came to claiming. They didn't want someone else in Freeridge to have had a past with the girl they claimed, to avoid 'I fucked his hyna' back talk and disrespect. Apparently it wasn't about finding virgins but more so a girl that hadn't messed with rival gangs or anyone in town. Which though was a little better, it was still very objectifying. 

"So what? Spooky is going to claim a girl hes known for like 2 weeks?" I asked.

"No... he's never even had an official 'girl' let alone come close to claiming anyone. He just fucks around a lot. He's real cautious and reluctant with it. But I guess with the 'we'll see' he literally means there might be a chance I guess? But I wouldn't expect it any time soon mama" Adore assured me. I sighed in relief, bitch I didn't come out here to get claimed like it was the 18th century.

"But you need to shut this whole thing down" Adore sternly stated.

"Why?"

"Because to a limit, hes serious about this and Spooky is not the kinda guy you lead on. It could literally cost your life." Well fuck.

Ruby walked in with his hands on his hips, right we were meant to leave by now. 

"Listen I gotta go, we'll talk about this later."
