Chapter 11

"Hey, don't you look hot" Cesar winked as he hugged me at the door. Thankfully it was a quick hug as Monse happened to be right there behind me. Now I'm pretty sure there's something going on between those two and I am so relieved. Now I must admit that I did feel like I looked good. I finally got to wear my little black dress. It was strapless and came just above the knee. It was made of velvet and hugged one's curves. I paired it with a pair of black heels and called it a day. Ruby insisted on me doing my hair but like I stated before, I do not have energy for that shit. So my hair was out and it was all curls all the way to my behind, if yaknow what I mean. 

The house looked different since the party, it was cleaner and more welcoming. Though it clearly needed a lot of work done but I'd never say that out loud. I looked around, to see who had been invited. There was Ruby, obviously, and Monse, Jamal, the girl next door Olivia, Sad Eyes and Adore. 

"Alright lets take this to the garden, Oscar said foods ready" Cesar announced. Who the hell was Os- Oh right Spooky. 

Adore laced his arm around my waist as we followed everyone else. "So.. whats going on here?" He whispered in my ear. 

I looked at him with confusion, "I told you over the phone about what happened." I replied.

"Yeah, I don't think that's the only thing that's going on here" We stepped outside, "Just... be careful." He gave a smile but I could tell he was worried about something. If he thought I was joining the Santos then boy he was way off. Adore prides himself in be able to pick up on things early but I guess he's losing his touch. 

"You two lovebirds done?" Sad Eyes laughed as he sat at the table next to Spooky who wasn't laughing but looked down at his phone. 

The only vacant seats were next to Spooky and Adore quickly sat next to Olivia leaving the seat right next to Spooky for me. Usually I would be a little scared but hey I saved his life and he was throwing garden dinner for us so it should be fine right?

We began to eat and I kept looking at Spooky with suspicion, there was no way he cooked this, it was all so. fuckin. good. I would compliment him on it but he hadn't spoken to me or really acknowledged me at all. He mainly spoke to Sad Eyes and if he addressed anyone else, it was all in Spanish. I couldn't help but feel totally left out. I couldn't really talk to Adore either as Olivia was hogging him. 

"Alright lets clean up and get the drinks out" Cesar stood up and so did I along with everyone else. "Sofia you're the guest of honour, sit down." He smiled and everyone agreed. So I sat down reluctantly as everyone took the plates and walked in , everyone except Spooky and Sad eyes. 

Spooky lit a cigarette and offered Sad Eyes one which he declined, "Imma go take a piss." and off he went too. So there I was alone with Spooky who was clearly pissed with me for some reason. 

"Let me see your neck." He randomly said, breaking the uncomfortable silence. I pushed my hair back and slightly looked up to elongate my neck. 

But I guess that wasn't good enough, he put one hand behind my neck and pulled me closer, and lightly traced where the bruises were under the concealer with his other hand. 

"Damn mama, you covered that shit good" He whispered, I could feel his warm breath right on my neck. 

"It was all Ruby" I awkwardly laughed and tried to pull back but his grip behind my neck slightly tightened and he put his other hand on my thigh, slowly massaging it with his thumb. My whole body tensed up. 

"Too bad I don't take other's seconds." He sighed and kissed me jaw then let go and sat back, taking out his phone and started texting. I just stared at him, left completely speechless as I tried to comprehend what just happened. 

"All right lets get this party started!" I turned to see Cesar holding up two big bottles with everyone else following him closely behind. 

Yeah I could drink, I could drink a lot right now.
