Chapter 13 - Part 2

"I'm pretty sure the way to your school is that way" I pointed to the complete opposite direction.

Ruby closed his eyes then took a sharp breath and stopped walking, "Okay you got me, I may have not been completely honest."

"So there's no meeting?" I asked annoyed at the fact that I woke up so early for nothing.

"No there is a meeting, just not with my teacher but... with Spooky." He smiled wearily.

"What why?" Literally why is my life revolving around this man right now?

"Well you know how Cesar got jumped into the gang, well we've decided to try to reason with Spooky about it and for some insane reason I was voted to do so." He crossed his arm, clearly still pissed about it.

"Okay... and how do I fit into this?" I asked.

"Well you saved his life, so maybe with you there he'll think twice before taking mine." He said almost to himself as a reassurance, boy was he anxious. 

"Yeah if he wants you dead, you're dead." I smiled and walked on as he whimpered and dragged his feet behind me. 

There was no one outside of the house but the side door leading towards the parking and shed was open. I pushed Ruby to walk in first. This was his mission not mine. He walked a couple steps and halted looking at a large container with Acid written on the label, we both looked at each other wide eyed. 

"Ay Santa Maria" I whispered. 

"I can't I can't I can't" He panicked and began to walk back, I quickly followed and overtook him, bitch I wasn't even meant to be here so I should be the first one out. Ruby started pulling me back so he could get out first so I started pushing his face back as I got to the gate.

"Sup Fool?" Spooky called as he stepped out of the shed.

We both froze for a second then I pushed Ruby towards Spooky but didn't follow, I decided I was going to have Ruby's back right from here, next to the exit. 

They both sat down on top of buckets and Spooky said something but I couldn't really hear him from my position. What I did see is Spooky getting really close to Ruby's face. I gulped, wow he was going to be my first dead cousin. But Spooky sat back down and laughed at whatever  Ruby had said back to him.

He quickly glanced at me then looked back at Ruby and in a much louder voice said "Sometimes my ruca wears that same glitter shit, She be rubbing all up on me. I cant get that crap out for days." I crossed my arms and looked to the side, I don't know what a ruca is but I hope she gave him STDs. 

I took out my phone and began scrolling through instagram and didn't even bother trying to eavesdrop as I couldn't hear shit but  at one point I did hear Spooky shout "Hawks can suck a dick!" What the fuck was this conversation even about at this point?

I heard Ruby cough violently and looked up to see a cigarette in his hand. Oh fuck no bitch. I walked up to him and snatched it out of his hand, "Oh you're funny" I sneered at him to which he got up and started to back away "I'm late for school, good talk Spooky." and with that he rushed off, probably avoiding me kicking his ass. 

Once he was out of sight, I took a drag of the cigarette. Fuck I missed this.

"I didn't know you smoked" Spooky stood up, and talk a step closer as he blew smoke in my face and smirked.

"Don't you own a shirt?" I gestured to his bare chest with my cigarette, "Or did your ruca steal it?" I took another drag then threw the cigarette butt near his foot. He looked down at it and I took it as an opportunity to turn and quickly walk off before he snapped.

"Whats a ruca?" I asked Adore over the phone as I walked home.

"Uh girlfriend. Why?" He replied.

"Cuz Spookys got one, so you were so fuckin wrong." I replied and he began to laugh, "Whats so funny?" I snapped.

"The fact that you're so jealous."
