You looked in the mirror smiling lovingly at your small baby bump. You were five months along, and the fact that your baby boy, or girl, were going to be here in about five more months made you crazy excited. There were numerous books along the lines of pregnancy, baby names, and post-pregnancy strewed around the house.
And if that excitement wasn't enough, today was the day you and Aaron were going to be finding out the gender of your child.
As you were cooking some eggs, you felt the hands of your husband slip around your waist, his hands rubbing your stomach. "Morning" he greeted as he let his chin rest on your shoulder. "Morning." "You excited for today?" "More than excited, I can't wait. What do you think it's going to be?" you quizzed, taking the eggs out of the hot pan. "A daddy's girl." "I think it's going to be a boy" you added. "Well I guess we'll see when we get there." "I guess so" you grinned. He moved off of you to get a glass of orange juice. He hurriedly gulped it down, then grabbed his bag out of the chair. "I'll see you in a few" he said, kissing your lips. "Okay, love you." "Love you too."
You ate your breakfast, then went upstairs. You got everything you needed for your shower, and went into the bathroom. Just as you turned the shower on, your felt a cramp in your stomach. Instantly, you grew worried, but remebered that it was common to have cramping during pregnancy. You stepped into the shower, and was washing up, when you felt a series of cramps, you felt a liquid come out of you, and when you looked down, all you saw was a large amount of blood mixing with water.

Aaron walked into the examination room, smiling and all. His smile fell when he saw the look on your face. "No...God no..." he breathed. You broke down crying, and Aaron ran over, pulling your hand into your chest. "I'm sorry Aaron..I'm so sorry" you cried, "I should have cared for myself better.." He pulled away looking in your eyes. "Don't blame this on yourself..please" he said with a soft, but stern tone. You looked into his hard eyes. "Aaron, I know you are upset..." One thing that bothered you about Aaron, he never wanted to seem hurt or sad around you, he always hid his emotions. His face turned red, and the water dripped from his eyes. He rested his head in your shoulder, and you felt a wet spot grow on your shirt. Your baby was gone, each second the pain in your heart got worse and worse. Both of you shook in each others arms. "Everything is going okay" he reassured, "it's going to be okay."
