It took me about 10 minutes before I realized that getting out of bed was an option. I didn't really know my way around, but that didn't stop me going for a bit of a wander. But then, halfway through my unguided tour, I began to be drawn in by the sound of music. Or rather, a humming sound. The tune was soft and it echoed through the hallways like the distant memories of childhood...
I followed the melody through the house, finally stopping at a slightly ajar door at the end of the hallway.
The door was lavender purple and warm air was drifting through the gap towards me. I placed my fingers against the door, gently pushing it open. The ray of sunlight, that shone through the window opposite me, hit my face causing me to squint a little. And then, as my vision came into focus I saw her standing there, captured like an angel in the sunlight. Her vivid auburn hair glided over her shoulders as she turned to look at me, and the moment her emerald eyes met my stair...
