I opened my eyes to the sound of clanking a few rooms down. I peeked my head out and silently slipped down the hall, stopping at each room to listen. When I got to my destination, I saw in was Freddy in the kitchen. I peeked my head in and he quickly turned his head. I backed up pressing my back to the wall. I don’t think he saw me. Note, I said think. I ran to the supply closet, quietly opening the door and hiding inside. I turned around to see glowing eyes. I gave a quiet screech. I reached up and flicked the light on. This was against the rules, but I did it anyway. I was relieved to see it was Chica. I sighed and she gave a formal, slow, awkward, rusty blink. We could be that. I bet you didn’t know. It’s an occasional thing, usually to show emotion. We have that too.

“I’m sorry I frightened you, turn off that light.” Said Chica. I nodded and flicked it off again. It was one of those old fashioned attic light. A single bulb hanging from the celling with a metal chain that when you pulled it; the light turned on. It was pretty neat.

“I thought you were Freddy.” I stuttered. I could tell by the way Chica’s glowing eyes moved she was shaking her head ‘No.’

Suddenly, we heard humming. It was Freddy. He was walking further and farther away until we heard the creak of the backstage door. Now was our chance.

The reason we were being so secretive is because there is a rule. No going out at all during the night unless a security guard is there, or, you’re Freddy. There was no security guard and last time I checked; we weren’t Freddy. So, according to Freddy’s rule we couldn’t move. But, we did it anyway. Chica and I gave each other one last nod, then Chica opened the closet door. We were back to our positions. Or so I thought.

I am modeled after a Fox. I like to think I poses a real Foxes traits, and from what I’ve heard they are curious and cunning. I thought of myself as real as possible, so much so I possessed these qualities myself. I am cunning and curious. So, I had to see what Freddy had been doing in the other room. I snuck in there to see pizza on the counter. Thats it? Pizza, no fun at all. That didn’t fill my satisfaction. Something else was bothering him. I opened the cabinets, and there it was. An odd concoction of liquids, bubbling on the top shelf of a cabinet. The bottle read ‘DANGER: For Freddy, No touching!’

If you tell me not to do something, my active imagination starts to turn gears in my brain. I like to know about everything. I am a bit nosy. I needed to know what was in that bottle. I needed to know what it was. By the looks of the papers on the shelf below the bottle, this looked like it had been in construction a long time. I picked it up, and hesitantly tipped it, watching a drop of sizzling, purple, goo fall slowly out the bottle and plop to the floor. Nothing. Not a thing happened. I had to do what any curious person would. I needed to know. And I’d go as far as drinking it. What else was I meant to do? I was desperate to find out what this unique thing did. I was an animatronic, what could it do to me? Besides, if it hurt me no one would care.

I then drew it to my mouth, letting it touch my lips. I quickly pulled it away in hesitation, not knowing I was certain. It took me a minute to realize it, but I was certain. I was curious. I wanted to know what it did. I drew it to my mouth again, but this time went all in. I began to quickly guzzle the goo. It felt weird, as if it was climbing down my throat. Once it reached my middle, thats when things started getting strange.

My stomach knotted, and I fell to the floor, clutching my stomach in pain. It shouldn't hurt, I was animatronic. What was this stuff doing to me? I soon realized when I took a look to my hand. I was turning into a living, breathing, real life human. No joke.
