"You're quite the dancer." He said.

I was so embarassed that words didn't come out of my mouth and I just stood there.

"So how's your day going?"

I felt a little weird when he asked me that. He didn't know me. I didn't know him.

"It's going good." I lied. It was going shitty.

"So, what would you like to have, Chris?"

I just really wanted to give him his order and be done with it. Or did I? Let's keep this question in the list of 'Answers Never Found' if that exists.

" How about today we do a chocolate milkshake? Doug told me that your milkshakes are to die for."

"Okay. So just that?" I was being very professional, even though I couldn't keep my eyes off of him.

"Yes, that and a cheese sandwich, please. And can I take these to go?"

He was so calm and certain.

There wasn't anyone in the café that day. It was just the two of us that day. It was a little awkward having him there, but not so awkward, you know what I mean.

While I was preparing his order, I noticed that he didn't sit and that he was standing there, looking at me. You can say that I was blushing like crazy.

"You know, you could sit there, if you want."

He looked at me and smiled.

"What? Sit there and feel lonely? When I can stand here and look at you and you can think that I'm a complete weirdo ? Or wait, you could actually talk to me."

He had a good sense of humour and he made me laugh.

So I thought why not talk to him, besides it was just the two of us and it'll be better to talk to someone rather than being silent when Bohemian Rhapsody is freakingly loud in my brain. It needed to stop, or else I would've started dancing again!

"So I heard that Doug was going to Italy." I don't know why I said that.

"Yeah yeah, that dumbass is going there for a year and he's like the only person I know in New York. So it's a little terrifying."

Chris and Doug had been friends since 6th grade. They met in school and then after school, Chris went to Malibu and Doug came to New York.

I didn't google him, come on, I'm not a stalker. Chris told me.

"Well, I'm sure you'll figure it out. Speaking of which this is your takeout. Have a great time."

I sounded like I wanted to get rid of him. I didn't. I don't know. It was weird.

"Okay. It was really nice meeting you again, C."
He sounded so nice.

" And hey, if you get lost, don't talk to strangers." I joked.

He laughed.

As he walked out the door, he said,

"Maybe the next time I come down here, I could get your number, you know just in case I get lost."

He made me blush. I facepalmed myself for blushing stupidly on his words, but what can I say, he was quite an interesting human being.
