I woke up early the next day as I had football practice.

I walked to the field to see that I am the first one to arrive and started warming up.

The practice ended before the scheduled time and the rest of the afternoon was very uneventful.

I won't bore you all by telling how my family is right now because that's a surprise to be revealed later.

I know what you all are waiting for in this chapter.

How?

Because I am Mahadev.

So let's skip to the evening.

I entered the premises of the Dakshineshwar Temple.

This place just gives me a soothing feeling.

I started walking inside when someone called me from behind.

I turned and smiled as I looked at the guy.

Arnav.
Or should I say Nandi?

Anything you want to call me, Prabhu.

(Note:- The underlined texts are what Arnav is thinking.)

Arnav walked towards me and smiled.

Pranam Prabhu

I nodded with a smile.

"How are you, Arnav?" I asked calmly.

"How can I be fine when I hardly gets to meet you once a week?" He replied a bit annoyed.

He is having the most trouble for being away from me.

He is a year younger than me in this Yug and is a junior in my school only.

We walked inside the temple. We walked towards the Kali Temple.

I looked Arnav looking around searching for someone.

"Who are you searching for, Arnav?" I asked with a teasing smile.

You know who I am searching for Prabhu.

I am searching for Maa Gauri.

I smiled.

"You are searching for her in the wrong place." I said while we ahead in the queue.

"You know where she is. Don't you?" He asked.

"She is in the Shiv temple. " I said with a smile as I looked at the Kali temple.

"There she is" He said after seeing her. "I will be back in a moment."

He started walking towards the temple.

I smiled as I looked at his devoted face and then took a short glimpse of Anika.

I never come here to worship.
I come here to see my Anika as she feel happy in this area.

The Shiv Temple is just beside the bank of River Ganga. And opposite to this Temple is the Kali Temple.

I smiled as I saw Arnav slowly walking towards Anika.

He very cleverly touched her feet without her noticing him.

He then walked back to me as I sat on the stairs of the Radha-Kanta temple there.

His face was lit up so brightly as if he has got the most precious gift ever.

He walked to me and sat beside me.

We then walked towards the Ghat as it was already the time of Diya puja.

The people then started lighting the diyas while we stood in a corner looking at Ganga slowly brightening and shining with the diyas.

I saw Anika and her family going towards the river.

We were sure to be standing out of her sight.

I saw her trying to let go of her diya which sank as soon as it left her hand which was followed by the other diyas of her family.

I laughed.

They all tried few more times except Anika who was standing with her diya in her hand.

Soon, her family started leaving.

I looked at Arnav.

"My turn to go." I said as I took a diya and ran down the stairs parallel to Anika who carefully walked down with an already lit diya.

We both were standing side by side now but she haven't noticed me yet.

I smiled as a strong wind blew past us, blowing out all the diyas while Anika's hair blew away from her face.

Her face reflected the light coming from her diya making her look more divine.

Ganga kept on coming towards our feet as if wanting to touch both of our feet in one go. And she succeeded.

I started lighting my diya. She was trying to not let the fire of her diya blow off.

Almost all the other diyas were now sinking. I placed my diya in the water at the same time as Anika.

We both left them together and they started floating together.

I hurriedly walked towards Arnav. Anika had turned to look at me but I was gone.

I stood beside Arnav and looked back at the diyas. They were floating together and it looked like as if Ganga herself didn't wanted them to sink.

I took a glimpse of Anika as she walked away with her family after being amused about our diyas

Author's Note-

First of all I am really sorry for the late update as I have not been very well.

This chapter was never planned and was an idea I got while reading a story from my hindi course book.

The diya puja mentioned is fictional and I don't know if something like this does happen or not.

I have posted two consecutive parts so make sure you have read both of them.

Hope you all will like it.
