dearest you,

i still remember our chat with garfield the cat. we were late to school that day. i told you things i never told anyone else--it surprised me, really, how i just let it all out on the sidewalk to you even though we weren''t considered to be the best of companions--and i think i know now why we did that. you're my friend, and i will always care for you. you told me about your father, about your brothers, about your arms. i told you about my tendencies to 'let it all out' after... but we're not very close, you see. and i think that's why it worked. it's better to tell things to people you don't really know an awful amount about, because they won't judge you forever as a 'friend'. we're just people, love. and i will always hold out my arms for you whenever you are feeling weak--just say the word and i'll be there. i believe it's more rewarding to receive comfort from people who don't know every single fucking thing about you--because we see each other as humans, not mistakes.
