"I'm home now!" the old man who introduced himself as Bae Yonghwan shouted.

The old man ushered me inside to what seemed like a coffee shop. There was a counter near the door. Tables and chairs were arranged nicely and there were even paintings which provide a nice touch as background.

"Grandpa, I just finished cooking dinner!" I heard a female voice shout.

"Okay, I'll come upstairs now." the old man cheerily said. "By the way, we have a guest today."

And I heard some shuffling and from the stairs on the side, the raven haired girl I bumped into and helped me earlier hastily came down. She looked surprised to see me.

"Irene, this is Yoo (Y/N)." Grandpa Yonghwan said.

I was a bit flustered momentarily and bowed quickly, "Nice to meet you and thank you for having me."

She recovered immediately from her shock and she sent me a friendly smile.

"Ah, yes. I'm Bae Irene. Nice to meet you too."

Grandpa waved his hands in a dismissive manner, "Now that introductions are over, let's go upstairs and eat."

We three went upstairs and I could see that the layout of the second floor is simple, there was a living room and two bedrooms, a kitchen with the dining table and a bathroom.

"(Y/N), I think you should take a shower first before eating. You were drenched by the rain earlier right?" Irene suggested.

Grandpa looked surprised with Irene's suggestion as he shot us with confused look. I remembered that I met Irene first prior to my meeting with Grandpa Yonghwan.

"Ah, I bumped into him earlier. When I was with Wendy."

"Ahh, so you met with him first." Grandpa commented and turned to me. "If you were drenched earlier then you should take a bath first so that you won't get sick."

"I will, thank you for your hospitality." I nodded shyly.

"There's a spare bedroom there. Irene, show him."

"Okay. Follow me, (Y/N)." Irene gestured for me as she started walking.

She led me into one of the bedrooms. It was simple and had the necessary necessities such as bed and a study table.

"This is room formerly belonged to my older brother." Irene informed me.

My eyes widened a little and scratched my nape."Oh, where is he now?"

"He's a soldier and currently serving in the army." she said then turned to me, a warm smile on her lips. "Make yourself at home and don't be shy to take a bath. I'll prepare a clean towel for you,"

I nodded my head in understanding and Irene left the room while I put my bag down on the floor. This room had a nice feeling to it and I could see that it was maintained well, it even had fresh and clean beddings.

I wondered for a bit what will happen to my life now. For some unknown reason, Grandpa warmly welcomed me into his home and even offered me to stay.

"Maybe this will be a new beginning for me," I muttered lowly.

I just finished taking a bath and exited the bathroom. I saw Grandpa Yonghwan sitting on the sofa while watching television. Irene, on the other hand, was in the kitchen doing chores.

"Oh ho, you had a nice bath, (Y/N)?" Grandpa asked.

I gave him a small smile and nodded my head, "Yes, thank you for the bath."
