Yoo (Y/N)'s POV

A few days passed by and I think I had adjusted well with attending school. Aside from Sana and her friends, I made a friend from my classmates on my own. His name was Jo Dae-Hyun.

"Hey, let's go to the cafeteria?" Dae-Hyun suddenly appeared.

"Yeah, treat me something."

"No way, you treat me." He retorted and tried to put his arm around my shoulder.

I was a bit few inches taller than him which made him look like he was struggling to keep up with my height. I lightly punched the side of his stomach to get him off me.

We arrived at the cafeteria and it was filled with students as usual. We lined up on the queue of the students for food. All of a sudden, I heard a loud bang. Most of the students near the source of noise including us got our attention.

An apparent frown appeared on my face as my eyes were watching a quarelling scene between Irene and her boyfriend. I couldn't really make out what they were arguing about but my hands clenched slightly when another loud bang rang out when Suho struck the table with his hand before storming off.

"That was intense," I heard Dae-Hyun commented.

I didn't say anything and started walking towards Irene, she seemed to be dejected with how her head hung low. Her friends weren't around at the moment so she was alone. My eyes wandered around seemingly glaring at those who were still looking over.

I sat down on the seat across Irene and only kept my gaze at her. She didn't seem to realize my presence as it looked like she was in deep thoughts.

I felt Dae-Hyun sat down beside me and that probably got Irene back to reality as she lifted her head. A look of surprise came to her face but then she fronted a fake smile as if trying to look fine.

"Hey," I started.

I wanted to ask about what happened but of course, only when she was comfortable to talk about it but for now, I just want her to know that I am always here for her. If she ever wants to vent or talk about anything.

"Hi, you're here."

"Hello," Dae-Hyun waved his hand. "Sorry for invading your table."

"Oh, no. It's all good, you can sit here." Irene replied.

"Dude, can you get me some food?" I whispered to him.

I wanted to have just a little time with Irene, ask if she was okay. I think she would just pass it off as okay with the presence of other people. I just hope she could be honest with me.

"Alright," Dae-Hyun agreed and stood up.

Irene and I were finally left alone. I would take this chance just to ask. I didn't like how Suho reacted when they were arguing but I didn't know their situation.

"Are you okay?" I started.

Irene gave me a small smile, a fake one. "I'm alright, (Y/N). Thanks for asking."

Although I wasn't convinced, I didn't press further anymore. Irene had the right to keep her stuff private or choose to share it to people who she trusts. As much as I didn't want to admit, it felt like she still doesn't trust me that much to confide me with her problems but maybe, she was just the type of person to keep things to herself.

"Where's your friends?" I changed the topic so as to keep the conversation going. "I'm surprised they weren't here."

"Ah, they have some stuff going on so I'm here alone."

"Right,"

"Hey, I saw you made a new friend." She must have been talking about Dae-Hyun.

"Yeah, I didn't really expect to find one on my own." I chuckled lightly.
