Chapter Six: Sunny California

(Genesis)

Tyler has been with me for three days now. Hes a real sweetheart.  He is the complete opposite of how he shows himself in his music. We went out skating a lot. I showed him a lot of different places that I love to hang out at. He seemed to like them as well.

"Hey, Ty, I'll race you. " I said,  as we stopped at a crosswalk.

"Where? " He said,  showing his cute little gap. His smile also made his ears look even bigger.

"There."  I pointed to an abandoned building about four blocks away. That building wasn't random. It was where me and a few other of my friends used to hang. It was actually an abandoned hospital. 

"What if I win?  " He purred in my ear. I shivered. 

"What do you want ?"

"Is that even a question? "

"Uh, Yeah.  " I was completely oblivious.

"You, of course. " He hopped on his board and kicked off. I followed behind. He hopped and grinded on a bench before landing perfectly.

It didn't take us long to reach our destination.  He claimed himself as the winner.

"You know what I get tonight,  babe. " He kissed my cheek. I nodded. Then his phone rung. While he was talking, I was practicing my ollies. 

"Genesis,  I have something to tell you. "

"Uh Huh. "

"I gotta go back to L.A."

I almost fell off my board. Really? So soon? I mean I know that He's famous and all but I didn't think he'd have to leave so soon.

"But I want you to come with me. "  I was shocked.

"Seriously? " I jumped into his arms. He spun me around.

"Of course."

"When do we leave ?"

"Tomorrow morning.  "

When sunset came, we headed back to my apartment so that I could pack. It was so soon.  I didn't know how to feel about anything that was happening.

The Morning came so fast. I set my alarm so we wouldn't be late. I rolled over and saw Tyler still asleep. He was drooling all over his arm.

Nette needed a place so I gave it to her.  I signed all of the needed papers and got the okay from the apartment super to give her the keys. The car ride there was exciting. I let Nette keep my car with her. When we arrived at the airport we waited on the plane.

"And you better call me everyday and I better get a ticket to see you. " Nette cried while hugging me tightly.  It was very emotional leaving my best friend and my home.  She then looked at Tyler and wiped her tears.

"You betta treat my Bae right! "

Tyler wrapped his hands around my waist and kissed my cheek.  I blushed. Being the girlfriend of a rapper still takes some getting used to.

"Oh, I will."

'To Los Angeles,California,now boarding." We heard the lady say over the intercom. Tyler grabbed my hand and we headed into the plane.

Goodbye  Alabama,  Hello Cali.
