Ok, so, it's sToRy TiMe

If you don't wanna read it, you can just skip to the next chapter

So, my grandparent's went to get me a picture of the sign. They parked the truck about 40 feet away from the sign, on the opposite side of the road, and about 100-150 feet away from the gates to the building. My grandpa got out of their truck while my step-grandma, who had a foot injury at the time, stayed inside the truck, both takeing pictures.

My step-grandma took pictures of my grandpa with the sign. My grandpa then took pictures of just the sign.

As a bit of a back story here, for my 10th birthday, all I wanted was a pogo stick. My grandpa being my grandpa, wrapped me up a regular stick, and gave it to me. Needless to say, I was pretty upset until he went out to his truck and pulled out an actual pogo stick. Ever since then, my grandpa and I have been exchanging sticks for birthdays, other holidays, or if one of us goes on vacation.

So, because of this tradition, my grandpa went behind the sign, to try and find me a stick. Aparrently, even though there were lots of trees in the area, he was not able to find a stick close to the sign. So, he picked up a rock instead.

As my grandpa was getting up from picking up the rock, he saw the flashing lights of a police car and heard it's sirens, coming from behind the 10 foot tall barbed wire fence. He slipped the rock into his pocket and started walking back to his car. Surprisingly, the cop car stopped close to my grandpa's truck. The cop/security guard got out of the car with two holstered guns and a taser (grandpa counted). He got out of the car and walked over to my grandpa. My grandpa tried to be polite but the guy was a kind of a jerk at first. He asked what they were doing and my grandpa kindly explained that the show Stranger Things was based off of the lab and he wanted to get some pictures for his adorable grandaughter *wink wink*. The security dude aparrently was a stoned faced god and would not laugh at any grandpa's jokes (which is very hard) and basically played 20 questions with him. Their conversation lasted like 15 minutes.

Then he asked my grandpa to leave. So looking for a good place to turn around, he pointed at a place like 50 feet closer to the big fence and told the cop-ish person he was going to turn around up there. The cop turned around and very, very forcefully warned them, "NO". And then continued to tell then that they had to turn around where they were. So, that's what he did.

Then they had a great jest of their week in New York.
