During lunch not much changed. The girls and I started to discuss how we were going to be top of the school. Yet none of the plans would take hold in a reasonable amount of time. So we pocketed the discussion for further discussion and made our way to the field for flying with Madam Hooch.

Slytherins were lined up shoulder to shoulder standing across from Gryffindor. A large portion of the Slytherin house were sending hateful glances towards the Gryffindor house, I however was looking at the Harry and his friends. I had a pit in my stomach thinking about what Snape had asked him in class. Yet all thought was thrown out the window when Madam Hooch's voice rang out over the field.

"Good afternoon, class!"

"Good afternoon, Madam Hooch!" We all spoke in unison.

"Good afternoon, Amanda, Good afternoon." She called out one student before turning attention back to all of us. "Welcome to your first flying lesson. Well, what are you waiting for?" She looked at all of us awkwardly standing around. "Everyone step up to the left side of their broomstick. Come on now, hurry up. Stick your right hand over the broom and say, up!"

We all do as told and by no surprise my broom along with Harry's automatically lifts into our hands. I could see that Harry was surprised by how fast it happened. Draco was the next to get his broom up, he looked around smug until he saw me already holding mine.

"Keep up Malfoy." I holler watching the Gryffindor's. Hermione was having a little bit of trouble get hers to move. Ron got his to raise up but it knocked him in the forehead. I had giggled a little. Harry looked at me surprised to which I returned a soft smile and shrug.

We don't have to be enemies ya know... I think, and by the look on his face he heard it.

"Now, once you've got hold of your broom, I want you to mount it. And drip it tight, you don't want to be sliding off the end." We all do as told. "When I blow my whistle, I want each of you to kick off from the ground, hard. Keep your broom steady, hover for a moment, and then lean forward slightly and touch back down." We all nod "On my whistle...3...2...1" Madam Hooch blew her whistle. A large portion of the class did as told. However the young Gryffindor know as Neville started rising out of control.
"Oh..." He sounded scared.
"Mr. Longbottom." Madam Hooch calls.
"Neville, what are you doing?" Hermione calls. Immediately all of the Gryffindors start to get mad cause they are so sure they'll lose points for this.

Hooch and the class starts to yell at him. I run to Madam Hooch.
"Madam, I know Neville, he isn't doing this on purpose!" She looks at me with wide eyes. She nods and sends me back to my spot in line.  We all watch, some of us with worry, others with entertainment as Neville soars around above us. Until finally one of the statues on the castle hooks Neville's cloak, he hangs for a few seconds until the cloak rips and he goes sliding down. Neville screams and hits the ground with a thud. The class rushes to him to only be pushed out of the way by Hooch.

"Oh, oh, oh, oh dear. Its a  broken wrist." She sucks her teeth a little. "Good boy, come on now, up you get." Hooch helps Neville up. I see out of the corner of my eye Draco behinds down to pick something up. "Everyone's to keep their feet firmly on the ground while I take Mr. Longbottom to the hospital wing. If I see a single broom in the air, the one riding it will find themselves out of Hogwarts before they can say, Quidditch." And with that she usher Neville away from the crowd.

"Did you see his face? Maybe if the fat lump had given this a squeeze, he'd have remembered to fall on his fat ass." Draco hollers mostly to Crabbe and Goyle but he honestly didn't care who heard him.

"Give it hear Malfoy." Harry calls

"No. I think I'll leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find." He hops on his broom and takes off. "How 'bout on the roof?"
