It had been maybe a day since the adventures below Hogwarts. My efforts were shortly recognized by my father with a pat on the back and a nod. We were officially winning the house cup, as Slytherin had for the last few years. I hadn't visited Harry in the hospital, to worried that he would have questions for me that neither one of us were ready to answer.

It was finally time for the last meal at Hogwarts for year one. Harry had woken this morning and was sitting with the Gryffindor's at their table. He gave me a small glance when he caught my eye, a glance that was short lived for McGonagall used her spoon to ding her glass getting the attention of the entire hall. Draco was sitting beside me, already planing how excited his parents would be when we got home.

"Another year gone. And now, as I understand it, the house cup needs awarding, and the points stand thus. In fourth place, Gryffindor with 312 points." the hall clapped, I could see the trio hiding their heads "Third place, Hufflepuff with 352 points. In second place, Ravenclaw, with 426 points. And in first place, with 472 points Slytherin House." The Slytherin table erupted with applause. Yet I didn't look away from Dumbledore, he had a look on his face that showed he wasn't done.

"Yes, yes, well done Slytherin, well done Slytherin. However, recent events must be taken into account. And I have a few last minute points to award." I bit the inside of my lip. "To Miss Hermione Granger, for use of cool intellect when others were in great peril, 50 points." Gryffindor applauded. Draco leaned over to me

"The hell is he doing?"

"I have no clue...but I don't like where it's going." I responded. I looked at my father with a desperate look, he remained clam and collected.

"Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley, for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years...50 points." More applause. My blood was boiling at this point "And third, to Mr. Harry Potter, for pure nerve and outstanding courage, I award Gryffindor house 60 points."

"They are tied with us..." I growled staring the headmaster down. I could feel Draco's hand on my leg

"Rose, your hair..." I looked at him shortly and he took it as a sign to drop it.

"And finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award 10 points to Neville Longbottom." The urge to scream was real. I looked between McGonagall, my father, and Dumbledore. The face McGonagall gave me was one that sent me over the edge with anger. I could feel that my hair was bright fiery red and my eyes probably matched.

The Gryffindor table erupted with screams and applause. Draco's hand didn't leave my leg we were all heart broken.

Mention me...give me the points I'm entitled!  I was screaming in my head. I looked at the Gryffindor table to see Harry celebrating, a new hatred for the boy who lived rested in my stomach. They wouldn't have survived if I hadn't been there and now they were taking the points without saying anything in regards to me.

"Assuming my calculations are correct, I believe that a change of decoration is in order." Dumbledore clapped his hands, the green and silver banners were replaced with red and yellow ones. "Gryffindor wins the House Cup!" I slammed my hand on the table.

Forget being the top student at this school, I was going to be the top student and make Harry Potter's life a living hell. They celebrated a victory they didn't deserve. I looked at Dumbledore to see he was looking at me with shock in his eyes. If my hair or eyes could have been any more red they would have been in that moment. He knew exactly what he was doing.

We were leaving Hogwarts. I bumped into Cedric my hair and eyes still red.

"Wow, Val. You okay?" I looked at him

"I deserved points today, Ced. They wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for me..." He pulled me into a hug, not sure what to say to me. He looked at me sadly before walking away. I rolled my eyes and walked onto the train. I found Draco, Blasie, Crabbe, Goyle, and Pansy in a cab. When I opened the door all conversation stopped. Blasie looked at me and smiled, Draco couldn't look at me, and the others seemed to be terrified that I was going to explode.

"I never want to see that boy on top again, do I make myself clear?" I growled at the room. Everyone nodded, I sat down and let Eris in my lap.

I'll be with you from now on V. She purred, calming me down some.

"So, Riddle...why does your hair and eyes do that?" Goyle asked through food later in the ride

"I'm a Metamorphmagus, I can change my appearance at will. Yet when my emotions are very strong they can cause a change all their own." I shrugged. Everyone seemed to think that was pretty cool, everyone other than Pansy.

"So if your hair is red you're mad?" She asked before chuckling "Seems to me like you should get your emotions in check." All of the guys that were in that cabin slid away from Pansy in any direction they could. I stood and pointed my wand at her

"In case you hadn't notice Parkinson, today is not the day to mess with me. I will not show mercy to you again." I help Eris climb to sit on my shoulder, I grabbed my small back pack. "Have a good summer boys." I mumbled before leaving the Cabin to find my girls.

The Malfoy Manor welcomed me home later that evening, the Malfoy's were excited to hear all the stories we had to share, Narcissa more than her husband. I sat there quiet as I listened to Draco tell the stories of what happened. I stared at the fire, I dreamed about hearing my name come from Dumbledore's mouth earlier today.

I wrote to Fred and George Weasley that evening, I asked them what prank items they had in the works this summer. I wanted to get back at Harry, I just wasn't sure how.

Sitting in my bay window in my room at the Manor I knew this was going to be a long summer.
