I Know All About You (Octane X Reader)

it's important that we make the best of short time

"Sakura mochi," you repeated.

"Sak.. ura.. mochi. Sakura mochi!" Octane echoed, smiling. "Eh.. what is that again?"

"It's a Japanese treat, I think you'll like it." You grinned, leading him to the place.

You got some sakura mochi from an adorable Japanese sweets shop. Then, you and Octane sat down on a grassy hill. 

You opened the packet and pulled one of the delicious treats out, taking a bite. "Try some." You insisted. Octane hesitantly took a bite of one. "Hey, that's pretty good!" He spoke, finishing the sakura mochi.

The two of you lay back on the grassy hill. The sky was beautiful. Clear, dark black, full of stars. The moon shone brightly. You could feel Octane's gaze focus on you. You slowly turned your head over to him, looking deep into his eyes. He laughed slightly and looked away.

You closed your eyes. Octane's hand brushed yours, and then he slid his fingers to entwine with yours. You squeezed his hand, before returning to just loosely holding his hand.

Once again, you turned to look at him. You could feel the weight of sleep pulling you down, but you kept your tired eyes open. 

Octane returned the gaze, with a slight smile.

You could never be my one and only, anyway.
