My alarm clock woke me at 6:15 on Tuesday, way too early.
I turned it off and groaned, rolling over with my face buried into the pillow. Why is my bed so comfy in the morning?
I dragged myself out of bed and walked to the shower. This should wake me up.
I kept thinking about yesterday, and Ashton. I can't believe he even talked to me. Maybe now he would hang out with us at lunch then I wouldn't be such a third wheel.
No, that's weird. He's just my brothers coach, that's it.
I got out of the shower after 15 minutes and wrapped my hair in a towel.
"come on guys, get up" I said, knocking on the doors of Emma and Zac's room. They used to share, but then Emma went on about how she didn't want "weird little boys in her room when she was changing or had her friends round." Which I thought was ridiculous, obviously Zac isn't going to look at her, plus she has nothing to look at anyway. She doesn't even wear a bra.
"Get out of my room, I'm up!" Yelled Emma. I rolled my eyes and went into Zac's room.
"Come on Zac, get up" I nudged him. He groaned and looked at me.
Oh God, he looked bad. Really bad. His nose was red, and his eyes were puffy.
I sat on his bed next to him, he sat up and hugged me. "I feel awful" he said, half asleep.
"Yeah, you don't look to great, do you want to stay home today?"
He sniffed and nodded, I wasn't usually one to let them stay home, but I couldn't let him go to school like this.
"Okay, you get back in bed and I'll bring you a hot chocolate and some medicine"
I walked out of the room and in the hallway was Emma who had straightened her hair and had on foundation, lipgloss and mascara.
"why do you wear that shit to school?" I said to her.
"Um, because some of us actually care about our appearance" she said, looking at me up and down."
"Yeah, well you can care about your appearance as much as you like, but no guy is ever going to go out with a girl who never showers" I smiled wickedly and walked away.
Emma huffed "uh, I obviously shower" she said. But I saw her smelling her clothes from the corner of my eye as I walked away.
Emma is going through that stage where she thinks it's 'okay' for her to just take my perfumes and use them only for herself, and not worry about showering, which annoys the shit out of me, I can't wait until she's my age.
"Mum?" I knocked on my mothers bedroom door.
"Yes sweetheart?" She said.
"Uh, Zac's sick, so I'm not going to make him go in today, are you okay to take care of him?"
She nodded and smiled, "thanks for all of your help, I promise I'll make it up to you when I'm okay again"
I smiled "no need."
...
"Bye have a nice day" I said to Emma as she got out of the car.
"Whatever" she said rolling her eyes.
"Okay, now I have to stay at school for an extra hour for my math tutoring, so you're going to have to walk home" I said to Emma.
"What? Are you serious? Wow, thanks a lot" she said, sarcasm clear in her voice.
"You're welcome" I answered, driving away.
...
"Soph! Oh my god, you'll never guess what!"
I walked into school to see Ashleigh bounding with energy, all gossip I suppose,
"what?" I said.
"Okay, so you know Molly King?"
"Uh, yeah"
"Well, guess what?"
I rolled my eyes, the thing that annoys me most about Ash, is that she can never just tell me this shit, she has to make me guess, like she's 11 or something. Of course I would never tell her or anyone this.
I was however, interested in the gossip as Molly King is my cousin Andrew's girlfriend..
"Okay, uh, she dropped out of school?" I asked.
"No"
"She's.. Dealing drugs?"
"No! Worse than both"
"Ugh, I give up"
"She's pregnant!"
My mouth fell open, "w-what?"
"She, is, pregnant... Can you believe that?" Ashleigh started to laugh. I honestly didn't find it remotely funny.
"How the fuck is that funny? She's my cousins girlfriend, what are his parents going to say..."
"Yeah, well that's the weirdest part! The baby isn't even Andy's, it's Jonathan Fosters!"
"Oh no" I said "does Andrew know?"
Ash rolled her eyes, "well duh, the whole school does, but she's still here, and Jonathan won't even talk to her, now she has no friends.. But that's what happens when you don't use protection!"
Ashleigh laughed again, way harder.
Poor Andrew.
Actually, poor Molly, we used to be so close in primary school, but then she ditched me for the hot boys, I know I shouldn't feel bad for her, but her parents are they type to kick her out, not support her. Plus if Jonathon won't talk to her, she'll have no one, unless I talk to her--"
"Friggin hell, Soph! I know that was interesting and all, but you could still listen to me, now this IS important!"
Ashleigh told me yet again another story.
...
"I can't get over what happened to Molly" Michael said to Ashleigh and me at lunch.
"Yeah, I feel terrible for her" I said without thinking.
"How can you? She's a slut" Ashleigh's cruel words remind me that she's probably being called a lot worse at the moment.
Two girls walked behind me and I knew straight away they were talking about her "yeah, did you hear she slept with Mr Cooper from the primary school, wow she's such a skank"
I cringed at the thought.
And that's when I saw her, and so did everybody else. Molly King, the 16 year old girl who got pregnant by someone who isn't even her boyfriend. Every single person in the cafeteria stopped and stared at her. She bowed her head, cheeks flaming a dark pink colour as she made her way to the very corner of the massive room. After about 5 minutes, most people went back to normal talking, but the two girls that brushed past me went to her.
"Hey slut, sleep with any more bogans last night? Or today even?"one of them said. Her name is Kiara, now she IS a bitch. Once in year 3 she poured orange juice on me because I pushed her off a swing. See, a bitch right?
"Just fuck of Kiara, leave me the fuck alone, don't you think I have enough shit already?" Molly yelled. Everyone went back to staring at her.
"Aw, not my problem bitch" Kiara grabbed her Pepsi, poured it into her cup and threw it at Molly, she then grabbed this kids watermelon and smashed it in her face.
"Dumb bitch" she laughed, everyone laughed along with her.
Molly bursted into tears and ran away.
I looked over, Ashleigh was crying her eyes out she was laughing so much, even Michael was sniggering. I couldn't believe it, everyone, even my bestfriend had betrayed this girl, who has done nothing to them, and is honestly the least bitchy person alive.
I couldn't take it, I got out of my seat and ran after her, not caring about Ashleigh calling after me.
