Not such a good party after all

The party began at 8. It was a large party, many people were there. There were loud music and lots of food and drinks. It was, of course, only adults (except for Lucy and Edmund, who were 17 and 18). There was alcohol, and chips and a large cake Lucy and Susan had prepared. The dining room table was filled with chicken, pasta, and potatoes. People were serving themselves and talking about how their life has been. Lucy has been helping the servings, while Peter and Edmund have been partying with their father. Susan was at the small bench near the door, waiting for people to enter. She didn't feel like partying. She wanted to stay calm and let herself calm down. She couldn't believe the war was finally over. The long deadly war was done. No more explosions, or loses. Just peace. For once.

The song changed to a slower, calmer song. Not like the ones in Narnia during balls, but a bit faster and more modern. Susan felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see who was disturbing her peace, a bit annoyed.

"May I offer you this dance?" Peter's lips curved into a small smirk.

Susan smiled widely and laughed a little. She caves her hand to her brother.

"Why of course!"

The moved to the dance floor, where lovers were slow dancing together. Lucy and Edmund decided to dance, and were in a far corner, laughing at how bad each other dance. They weren't talented dancers, because, for years in Narnia, they were never allowed to go to the balls. But when they finally did, they hadn't learned so gave up. Susan and Peter, on the other hand, had learned to dance together. They knew how to dance really well, and had done it for so long, they had grown comfortable to dance together. Susan's long sleeves red dress flowed behind her as Peter twirled her around. They dance with magnificence. Even their father was shocked at how well they could dance. Peter, smiling down at his little sister, and Susan smiling back. It was a beautiful moment. They never wanted it to end. But, sadly, the song changed, and they had to stop.

"That was fun," laughed Peter.

"Yeah," smiled Susan.

The rest of the party was rather fast music. Peter and Susan still danced a little, moving all around the place, and laughing.

It was around 2:30 in the morning when people started leaving. Of course, George's friends stay. They were all drunk. Susan stayed away from them. She stayed near the door, saying goodbye to everyone. Lucy had gone to bed, and Edmund was still eating some Turkish delight. Peter was in the corner making sure nothing went wrong. Susan said bye to one of Peter's best friends.

"Bye Josh," she shakes hands with him.

"Yeah! The part was legit! Your dad is crazy over there!" he laughed and ran out to his house.

Susan ran to the living room to make sure everything was going okay. Not to her surprise, her father had his gun in his hand and was pointing it at his drunk friends. They were all laughing, bottles of rum in their hands, moving towards the gun.

"Father put the gun down!" Susan yelled. Everybody looked at her and started laughing.

"Party pooper!" some said. "Don't give orders to the most amazing person in the world!" others said.

Susan stepped closer and tried to stop her dad from shooting anyone. She grabbed the gun and tried to take it away, but her father was too strong. He wouldn't let go.

Lucy ran into the room.

"Father! Susan you're going to hurt yourself!" she yelled.

George pushed his daughter away and shot.

Susan felt a large pain in her stomach. She tried to stand up tall, but couldn't stay on her feet. Her vision was becoming blurry, and her head started to spin. All she heard were waves of laughter. She fell to the ground, unable to fight her pain anymore.

She heard: "SUSAN!", and yet another gunshot. She felt a large handhold on to her. She could see her brother's blue eyes cry. Then... complete darkness.
