Susan stayed with Malika most of the time. She fed her and played with her. Sometimes when she was sleeping, she would stay with Caspian. He would kiss her and cuddle her, and make her feel safe with his strong arms.
Today, Drinian asked Susan to come and see Caspian, Lucy and the Professor in the throne room. She took Malika with her, not wanting to part form her.
"Susan we have a couple of questions for you..." the professor began.
"We? You! I have n idea what the heck he's talking about!" Lucy smiled and picked up Malika from her sister's arms.
"What is it, professor?" Susan asked with her angelic voice.
"When I found you at the beach you weren't reacting, and I've been wanting to ask, but you've been so happy, I couldn't disturb you," Caspian started. "What happened to you at the beach?"
Susan felt cold at the memory of the dark beach, and scary voice.
"Ever since I was stabbed... I have been seeing those places. It's a dark beach with black sand and a very wild ocean... Once I saw a large lion. He was just like Aslan, but he was all black. I think he said his name was Lau?... no, Mau!" Susan started to explain. She looked up at Caspian, who looked very worried.
"Mau? But he's just a legend!" Caspian told himself.
"He told me he was the real lion and started putting all of those thoughts in my head," Susan continued.
Caspian walked over to and grabbed her hand.
"What type of thoughts?" he asked, holding the hand tight, and kissing it.
"As if you didn't love me, and Peter and Edmund were now happy that I was gone. Things like that."
"Don't listen to them. You know I love you will all my heart," he kissed her forehead.
"That's horrible!" the Professor yelled.
"What is it?" Susan asked. Caspian was holding her by her waist.
"I fear... I fear you have seen The Other Side!" the professor said.
Caspian's face turned pail. He looked over at Susan, worry in his eyes.
"What's that?" Lucy asked, worried by Caspian's expression.
"It's a very dangerous place. If you can go to it, then the prisoners can come back!" the Professor assured.
"What type of prisoners?" Susan asked.
"Every bad person since the beginning of time," Caspian said.
Susan felt her head spin. Every one of them? She asked herself. No... not all of them... please not all of them! It will be impossible to kill them all. To bring back peace in Narnia.
"Is there a way to know if it's true?" Susan asked shaking.
"Did you see anyone who did you or your siblings bad?" Susan thought a little, but then remembered her father. He had hit her when she was younger, giving her permanent scares. The one who had killed her and her sister.
"Father..." Susan said under her breath.
She looked over at Lucy, tears in her eyes.
"I saw father..." Lucy's mouth fell open.
"No, but he was drunk! It wasn't really his fault he killed us!" Lucy tried to fight for her father, not wanting to believe he was bad.
"He did much more than kill me! Lucy, Father would hit me when I was younger. He would throw me across the room, or slap me for no reason. He would use me as a punching bag!" Lucy started to cry.
